Microsoft announced last month that they will be starting to roll out Windows 10 v 1903 May 2019 Update in late May 2019. In a blog post today, Microsoft announced that the feature update has hit General Availability. With the destructive bugs that were initially shipped with Windows 10 v1809, Microsoft took extra care this time to make sure that this feature update was bug-free or at least it did not leave a negative impact on the client’s computer. They tested this update for about a month in the Windows Insider Slow and the Release Preview ring.

Windows 10 May 2019 Update

Windows 10 v1903 now available to everyone

This update brings in new features like Light mode in the Start Menu, Separated Search and Cortana experience and more. Microsoft is slowly throttling the availability of this feature update across the globe and is hence not just available to the seekers. However, it will start hitting all the regions in a few hours.

If you wish to give this update a try, just open the Windows 10 Settings app.

Navigate to Update & Security > Windows Update and select Check for updates.

When the update hits your device, it will start to download and prepare the update for installation and will prompt you to reboot your computer when its time.

Microsoft recommends users running Windows 10 April 2018 Update aka. v1803 or older to update to this update with the immediate effect as Windows 10 v1803 is going out of service starting June 2019.

You can also use the Windows 10 Update Assistant to upgrade your computer to the new feature update.
