Good Camera. The video quality is good, not great. However, it gets the job done. The installation is easy if you’re not wiring it. However, get done by a professional so you don’t run the risk of ruining your system.
24 Month Update. 24 month update:Still going strong; both cameras and the heavy duty micro SD card. Good visuals and audio of constant recording. If you use the car diagnostic plug for power source make sure to check the camera connection after taking your car to the repair shop. Sometimes those guys don’t put the plug back in and you’ll lose power to the camera. Just make sure to check the plug is inserted properly for constant power./////////////:::///:::::;;;;;;;;;;;;))))))))))I had the Pro 200 for two years along with the Extreme micro SD card. It has performed flawlessly- both front and back rear cameras. I attribute the performance due to the commercial upgrade SD card.It has been in my windshield in FL, SC, NC, and VA in direct sunlight. What’s more, in the summertime I install a silver heat reflecting screen to reduce interior heat. The camera is trapped between the screen and the windshield in direct sunlight. It must be over at least 120 deg F.IF, and I’d there’s a suggestion (like all card readable tools) the Thinkware software can stand some improvement. But as an engineer my theory is that SW is never FOC. It’s always IOC, always overly expensive, and labor intensive. Just run with it.If you’d looking for a solid dual cam setup this is the one.BTW, I did buy the external power cord plug that fits into the diagnostic car system. The fuse box connection made me Squamish on car warranty should an electric problem arise.Good luck
Great cam with a few quirks. Having a dash cam in your vehicle is essential to me for any car going forward. I saw this one and thought I might as well try it out. One little quirk out of the box was there was no plastic pry tools included to help you hide the cables for the device. Seems a bit odd they couldn't at least include a small one to help you get around the plastic/rubber in your car. I luckily had an extra from a prior camera, so was ok. Install was actually painless. I decided to purchase the ODB 2 power connector with the camera to make powering it easier for when the vehicle is off and it records parking. It made it so much simpler than trying to hardwire the thing and definitely recommend it to anyone looking to make wiring easier for parking mode recordings. So far it has been great. It has a little voice that tells me when it launches itself into regular recording vs parking. It tells me how many parking events occurred so that if I need to I can connect to the cam and pull those. While it doesn't include a screen to view the footage, it makes it quite easy to remove the included MicroSD card OR use the phone app. I noticed a few reviews complain about connecting via wifi...I have not ran into this issue but can offer some advice: Make sure your phone isn't trying to connect to another wifi at the time (like wireless carplay/android auto) AND make sure to give your camera ample time to turn on the wifi (it will tell you when to connect).Just an FYI for those wondering: The camera only takes up to 128GB MicroSD cards from what I understand. It does come included with a 32GB MicroSD card, which for me works fine. When it reaches capacity it just starts overwriting old footage. The other odd quirk I had with the camera was this: While sitting in traffic for a couple minutes, the camera did switch to parking mode for some odd reason for me...I guess it detected it wasn't moving and thought maybe it was being parked. Found it quite odd. After a few seconds of moving though it went back to regular recording. A little worrisome, but have only had it happen once so far.Overall, rated it 4/5 stars because of the quirks. It isn't perfect, but does seem better than cheaper cameras for sure. Definitely still recommend for anyone looking for a decently priced camera.
Works great! No distraction from screen. I have had several dashcams in my truck now and I have found that the screen inside the car can be distracting at night and is not useful outside of configuration (that is usually not very intuitive onscreen anyway); this dashcam is small and discreet, and has no bright light in the cabin at night. The picture quality is pretty good, and the 'Pro' kit included the hardwire and plug in adapter. Overall, I am quite happy with this dashcam. My only complaint is that the GPS antenna was not included and had to be purchased separately.
iPhone and WiFi NO. I was very disappointed in my hours long inability to connect my iPhone 13 to this dash cam. If you can’t do live view to at least make sure you’re able to mount it properly what’s the point. I reviewed thinkwares numerous apps for my specific dash cam and watch set up videos and stil to no avail. Can’t recommend
Great working camera. The media could not be loaded.  Great working camera. So easy to install any videos to you phone or tablet. It does stop recording if you are previewing videos or watching live on another device. I also found out it records voice inside, you hear everything once you download and watch, it also smooths out the video when you download it. Overall a very nice front and rear camera for when one of you speeders hit me I’ll be able to prove it was not my fault.
Very good and reliable. This is better than BlackVue. Has built in battery for parked vehicles
Great. Amazing dash cam to start off with! You need a password to access the camera so the book it comes with scan the QR Code! No issues setting it up! Definitely recommend!
The picture for this product is very misleading as it shows a picture of the gps adapter included. However if you read the ad details (which I should have before purchasing) you will see that it's not included like it is in some of thinkware other bundles. This is ok. I take the hit for that one, I should have read the ad, but I still feel like the main picture should not have the gps adapter in it if it's not included in this bundle.Thinkware otherwise is a great reliable dash cam if you are looking to purchase one.
The camera works well. Very wide angle. I was able to connect it so recording continues when parked. Quite easy to install (I'm not a professional). What I don't like is you can't review the footage unless you are sitting in the car connected to the camera's WiFi. The app does not connect using any other WiFi
I recently purchased this dash cam and have been quite disappointed with its performance. The recording quality is subpar, with footage appearing blurry and unclear. Even in well-lit conditions, the video lacks sharpness and detail, making it difficult to discern important features such as license plates or road signs. I expected much better clarity for the price. Overall, I would not recommend this dash cam if high-quality recording is a priority
The video quality is impeccable. It is a bit irritating that the CarPlay has to be disabled every time you want to connect to an IPhone. The picture is a little misleading as it shows a GPS that is not included in the package.
We bought this after reviewing more than 20 different models. We found amazing deal on Amazon with better price. It fits so well front and back both. It has high resolution and clear vision at night as well. Highly recommended!!

Lots of cool features. I have been using this dashcam in the car my son and daughter are learning to drive in. It records high-quality video in all lighting conditions and has options for customizing settings to different driving styles, which is convenient for multiple drivers sharing the same car. The GPS accurately tracks speed and location, but the power connector has been a bit inconsistent... sometimes it disconnects for no reason, but it's a rare occurrence. I like the app, but I don't like that I have to use it for certain features because it takes some time to connect. My favorite things about this dashcam is that it captures clear images day and night with different recording modes and automatically deletes old footage to free up space for new videos when storage is low. The automatic shut-off feature in extreme temperatures is helpful, especially since it's usually ridiculously hot here, even hotter in a parked car.Overall, great dashcam with lots of cool features!
Nice dashcam, but app dependent. I ordered this, needing a new dashcam for my mom's car. This dashcam is a solid choice for anyone seeking reliable, high-quality footage. The image clarity is exceptional, capturing even the smallest details in various lighting conditions. Its feature set is impressive, offering a range of customization options to suit different driving styles and preferences. The inclusion of GPS is a definite plus, providing accurate speed and location data. Its easy enough for my mom to use as well. While the dashcam's construction and mounting options are top-notch, its power connector proved to be a minor inconvenience. The lack of a standard USB connection required additional wiring, which added unnecessary complexity to the installation process. Additionally, relying on an app for certain functions might be frustrating for those who prefer a standalone device.Overall, this dashcam offers excellent performance and a robust feature set. If you can overlook the power connector and app dependency, it's a worthwhile investment for peace of mind on the road.
Live view doesn’t work, app lags, sounds are annoying. While the dash cam seems to otherwise work and connect with the app, doing anything in the app is SLOW and the live view option simply doesn’t work. Cam also makes a lot of unnecessary noise that isn’t a huge deal, but personally I find annoying. It talks when the car turns on, beeps randomly but often.Could be worse at the price point, I guess, but it could be better too. I miss my old dash cam.
A bit time consuming to install, but a great little camera. This took me about two hours to set up on my car, but most of that was spent hiding cords. The camera itself, was pretty easy to put in. I set up the front first, got it right up on the windshield making sure to use the phone app as a camera guide so I can make sure I put the camera in a place where it has the best view of the road. The camera itself is small enough that it is sort of almost hidden by my rear view mirror. Once it was in place, it was time for the all time consuming hiding of the wires. I used the one that just goes into the cigarette lighter spot in the car. I have zero experience hard wiring, so I know that was out of the question for me. Kind of sad, because that is the only way, I believe, you can use the parking features. I just am not experienced for that kind of thing.I do have to say, the little tool to hide the wires was useful. I do have to adjust a few, but they seem to be staying put for the time being. The back up camera was pretty easy too, again I used the phone so I could see the best place on the back window to put the cameras. As for the app, it’s user friendly enough. The picture quality is great, the camera tells me to have a safe drive, which is nice, and it records without me needing to do anything. So far I have not come across any problems. You do have to be in the car with the car on to access the memory. But you can download any video onto the app memory which you can access from your phone at any time even away from the car. Mine records in about 60 second increments. So my ten minute drive to work happens in 6 segments. I think it will make it easy to access specific portions of the drive rather than speeding through a long video. All in all, it’s a good dash cam, if not a bit overpriced for not having an lcd screen. If you have it hotwired to your car, it has way more features that would be well worth it though.
Meh. The camera itself seems fine and like it takes good video; however, the app is complete trash. It is hard to playback your videos using it and even if you get them to play, the app crashes.
a good performance and the price dropped since I got it. I installed this dash cam on one of the vehicles we use at the charity where I volunteer. After a week, I am quite satisfied with its performance. My main focus was to get a cam that provides clear images day and night, which this model delivered in my opinion. You can also set different recording modes like continuous, incident, manual, motion detection, and energy-saving recording. Please note that while it will continuously capture video even when the memory storage gets low, it will delete older segments to make room for new footage. In addition, I liked that it comes with an automatic shut-off function in extreme temperatures, which might be useful especially when you live in hot zones like Texas. Hopefully, this function won’t be needed too much where I live.A great way to protect the charity's property from any accidents and events. But this hasn’t been used long enough for me to comment on its longevity, and if this one breaks on us rather unexpectedly, I will update my review.
App issues. Not happy with how slow it is when looking at recordings through the app.

easy to set up and great quality. The media could not be loaded.  The cheap dash cam I had stopped working after few months of use. I spent a great deal of time looking at dash cams available on the market. I went with the ARC as it was on sale, within my price range and had features that caught my eye.The dash cam installation and operation were straightforward, got everything up and running under an hour. The installation guide via the QR code on the little insert found in the box was easy to follow.I decided on this model because of the Traffic Signal Alert and Front Vehicle Departure Warning feature. They've been very helpful for my driving. The picture quality is very good. It has a large display screen which makes it easy to review your footage. Overall, I'm impressed.
It’s clunky at first. I had an auto store install it for me. It’s a little clunky at first to use it. Make sure you download the app. The app is not user-friendly. And you have to disc from the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth on your car in order to get onto the camera. But after a little bit of learning curve, it turns out it’s pretty good. The image and quality of the pictures is relatively impressive.
Great product. This dash cam just launched this year so it has the newest technology. I am satisfied with the performance and quality.Easy to installI found the user manual in the support section of the Thinkware Link app, followed it and installed in a short amount of time.Easy to connect to the app.Clicked the WiFi icon on the screen, scanned the QR code shown with the Thinkware Link app, connected!Smart driving alerts (recommendedFront vehicle departure warning and Traffic signal alert features are really convenient. The response time of both features are fast and alerts you right away. It notifies you when the signal changes and when the vehicle in front of you starts to drive off. I tend to get distracted easily when driving. The drivers behind can thank Thinkware for offering these features in their dash cams.Comes with a memory card.It is kind of nice that Thinkware included a memory card, most of the other brands don't come with one. 32GB of memory isn't a lot but at least I didn't have to hassle in buying one separately.I will update this review in a few months after I get in some use.
Defective Unit. I think I received a defective unit. The touch screen does not register touches correctly. I've tried to calibrate the touch screen. And it happens. It's like it thinks I'm missing the points it's telling me to push... I hope I'm never in an accident, cuz I won't be able to press the manual record button...
It's decent. Not the most convenient to access the files. It has good video quality and the core length is plenty. Performance is okay. It beeps all the time saying there's a crash when I hit a bump even when I turn the setting to low
My Honest Review. [Updated on 9/7/24]I have tried many dashcams through the years. I have tried from $50 entry dashcams to the more expensive Starvis 2 sensor ones. I was not happy with the cheaper ones due to poor image quality. The ones with the latest Sony’s image sensor were a little better, but they did not justify the high price tag. Also, the great reviews online about their capability to capture license plates at night — I learned you should take those with a grain of salt. Some of those couldn’t even capture many license plates close by. Then I decided to go another direction. I knew Thinkware is a well-known company that has been making dashcams for a long time, so I decided to give their Arc, which is their new mid-level product, a try. Here are some things I have found after using this product extensively over the past couple of months.Pros:1. Superb crystal-clear daytime images for front AND rear cameras.2. Reliable motion detection and impact recording with trademark beep sound3. Energy saving parking mode4. Useful ADAS which alerts you when signal turns green or the car ahead of you is leaving. Also warns you of red light cameras. I love this feature.5. Nice blinking LED security light in parking mode.(you can also turn it off)6. Connects to your phone via WIFI so you can view recordings or change settings.7. Rear camera image quality during the day is as good as the front8. Comes with a hardwire kit9. Sensitive sensors (you can adjust the sensitivity) — assures even minor impacts will be detected10. Beautiful designCons:1. The touch screen won’t feel my touch at times2. The rear camera orientation won’t reverse in the app so you need to install it correctly the first time3. This could be a deal-breaker: Night recording tends to be blurry or over-exposed, making it difficult to read license plates at night. Sometimes, I’ve noticed daytime license plate images can also be over-saturated by sunlight.4. Volume (female system voice) is annoyingly loud even on the lowest setting.5. Need to turn carplay off to connect to phone.6. The dashcam body consistently remains hot when it is on, even during energy saving parking mode. I am worried if the circuits will withstand the heat longterm.7. Thinkware’s dashcam viewer app for Mac has issues. Also, it is recorded in km per hour, not mph even when you adjust the settings.8. Battery low warning came on my car after about one and a half day continuously parked in parking mode.9. No option to turn on security LED lights during energy saving parking mode. Also no light on the rear camera. This dashcam’s night time image quality is not as good compared to its daytime recordings. It’s basically night and day (no pun intended). I would not recommend this dashcam if you drive a lot at night or want to use parking mode at night since night-time license plate recognition may certainly be an issue. It works well only when there is right amount of light — not too bright or not too dark. What’s the point of having a dashcam when it can’t read a license plate 3 feet in front of you at night? There are really good features like the ADAS feature which alerts you when the signal turns green. Or security blinking LED lights which many other brands don’t have. But it was frustrating just to set the time correctly since the Arc dashcam uses some weird time zone system. Overall, the Arc dashcam kind of feels like it’s unpolished which is surprising for a company like Thinkware. I have reached out to Thinkware and asked for assistance on these issues, and they still haven’t provided any real solution yet for over a month now. I am hoping Thinkware’s engineers would develop a firmware or software update to improve these issues I’ve mentioned above. My Final verdict: This dashcam, although with some shortcomings, has great daytime images and has some useful functions.
needs better method to connect. Only been using for about 1 month. I have owned a different camera from this maker. Enjoy the utility of both styles. The negative part of this Arc style is connecting my phone to it. The wifi system is rather clunky to get things to connect. The only method I've found is using the QR code which can be frustrating to get your cell camera to focus on the tiny sized QR code on the mini screen. The older style camera I had, would allow you to search for a wifi broadcasted ID, which doesn't seem to exist for the Arc camera.
I decided to get this dash cam after my friend was in an accident because I wanted it to help me with any insurance claims in the future. The video quality is great, I love the sleek design and the LCD touchscreen was intuitive and responsive, making it easy to use.The camera was simple to install after reading the instructions and watching videos online. The most time consuming part is hiding the wires. At first, I found connecting to the WiFi to be difficult, but after re-reading the instructions on how to connect, I realized that I was scanning the QR code incorrectly. At first, I was scanning the QR code with my camera, but you are suppose to scan the QR code in the mobile app. After realizing that, it was simple to connect to the settings and WiFi to view my videos. While the price is a little higher than other dash cams I was looking at, it is worth it due to the diverse built-in safety and smart driving alerts and the peace of mind it provides me while I’m driving. I highly recommend it!
I've done a lot of research, I wanted a solid dash cam that didn't break the bank. This is the best bundle I've seen as you get pretty much everything you need to install it. It's good quality and I'm sure it will last a long time. The picture quality is perfect, especially at night.
Installed a 2023 CX-50. Dash cam looks great and operates very well. Video quality is decent and Parking mode works great. Happy with my purchase.
Small but works well, Good video quality with 2K resolution, Easy to install, Straightforward with the LCD screen.

Good value, works great. I like that it came with GPS and a hardwire kit, even though I decided to use the cigarette lighter port, for now. In order to use parking mode, it has to be hard wired properly. If I had to park it in a questionable lot for long periods, I would hard wired it. I purchased a Renogy 72000MAH/266WH HIGH-CAPACITY POWER BANK so it could run in continuous mode when I run errands, and have to shut off the engine. The dash cam must not draw much power because I've been running on the power bank for about 16 - 20 hours, and it still has 4 bars lit - indicating fully charged. I like that it has front and rear cameras, people are driving lawlessly; running stop signs, changing lanes crazily, and they lie when they cause an accident. It came with a Thinkware 32 GB Micro SD, I purchased a Thinkware128GB Micro SD, which should give 14 - 16 hours of Continuous Mode before overwriting.I read reviews that said you have to use Thinkware sd's, but on the Thinkware site it sounded like you could use other brands. I had a 2 channel Thinkware X-500 for 9 years. After 2.5 years I dropped it and the screen began having issues, but the recordings were still great. I was still able to format the card periodically, it was a great dash cam, which is why I replaced it with the X800.
Great camera, disappointed in playback features. I bought this X800 camera bundle (front and rear) and had it professionally installed. It works great and has lots of bells and whistles! But even so, it lacks (what I see as) a basic feature - connectivity to a cell phone for playback! I wish I would have realized when I bought it because I would have bought a different model. Thinkware still has my thumbs up, however.
Great Camera. I had a sincere amount of my windshield already, this camera slid right on that mount And plug right on in. the picture quality is fantastic. recommend for everyone.
Nice camera, setup is hell. It is pretty much impossible to peel off the protective sheet from the 3M double sided adhesive pad. The package had a replacement, but it has the same problem. Returning is a no-go as this was a (early ordered) present. Now I need to find a different solution to attach the camera to the windshield.I ordered the same dashcam a few years back, no issue then with the adhesive pads. And there is no way to contact the manufacturer from here.
Upset. This is my second dash camera. The first died from lack of use. The new one is a better model. Rear cameras are not interchangeable so I bought a new one too. Now a month later, the main camera refuses to connect to the rear camera. Even though the rear camera light is on. Not happy.
This was my first choice BUT. Actually Blackvue was my first choice but they don't offer a model with a display. Thinkware was my next choice they have the X800 and the X1000 which both have a beautiful display but just like the Blackvue they both only offer a 1 minute duration saved video file. I want the option to select how long of a file in minutes I want to record. I currently have a Blackvue DR490L which was a 2 camera with a really nice touch screen display problem is my rear camera failed and Blackvue no longer provides a replacement and they no longer offer a model with a display! AND IT ONLY HAD A 1 MINUTE RECORDING! I didn't discover this until after my purchase and I was very disappointed. My previous cameras were longer.I'M HERE TO TELL YOU THAT NOT EVERYONE HAS A CELL PHONE AND I'M ONE OF THEM!You need to offer products for us too!I decided on a Rove R3
Overall the camera is really good quality and you get everything you need in the bundle.
…it’s perfect if you want a middle of the road dash cam for your first one or even an upgrade from a cheaper one you may have from some other brand. It’s been fantastic for me. The customer service is great as I had a few questions. The video and sound quality is fine. It was installed by a pro, it’s secure and neither front or back camera has dislodged. If I ever upgraded most likely will go with a higher end Thinkware as I’m happy with this.
No audio when transfer file to computer, no warning alert

Essential for Peace of Mind on the Road. I recently purchased the REDTIGER Dash Cam Front Rear, 4K/2.5K Full HD, and it has already proven to be a lifesaver! Just last week, I was involved in a fender bender where a lady backed into my car. Thanks to the crystal-clear footage from both the front and rear cameras, I had undeniable evidence that the accident was not my fault. The video quality is outstanding — every detail was captured in 4K, making it easy to see exactly what happened. The setup was straightforward, and the dash cam is super easy to use. I also love the wide-angle coverage, which captures everything happening around my vehicle. The REDTIGER dash cam has a sturdy build and feels like a premium product. The parking mode feature is another bonus, providing additional security even when my car is parked.I highly recommend this dash cam to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality protection on the road. It's more than worth the investment for the peace of mind it brings!
Great Support Staff. This is my first dash cam, so other than reading reviews, I new very little. It's been my experience that the accompanying instruction manuals are often of little help, although this one was slightly better. I also turned to youtube but even they, left things out, that I wanted to know. How do you turn the unit on and off, how do you pause a recording, why are there only four buttons and so many icons and how am I supposed to remember how to use the same button for a variety of functions? There was a phone number in the manual, so I figured I'd better call it in hopes of reducing my frustrations. They were extremely accommodating and ran me though a one on one, step by step, assistance.I also kept trying to use this cam as a touch screen, since after all, every phone these days has this feature. It was explained to me that there was a touch screen but that I had ordered a model without. Believe it, or not, they helped me out with that and I now have a Touch model, F7NT.I gave this five stars because this company is amazing and the cameras are superb. I therefore did not detract a star because I am convinced that they will listen closely, make a few changes and then they will have the best possible cams.Negatives: Too many icons on the cam video screen. The icons are too small and virtually useless because they are on your windshield, which is difficult to reach. All this does is create confusion.Sometimes the cam wants you to turn off wi-fi to access features, which is ridiculous. Wi-Fi should always be on whenever the phone is nearby and it should record to your phone so that you can access all features as you like on your phone. The small screen on the cam is virtually useless.Playback choices should not be visible on the cam. Remove as many icons as possible and apply them only after video is downloaded to your phone or to a computer.Negatives: Downloading to a phone is nearly impossible or at the very least, far too tedious.Solution: Remove the SD card from the cam, utilize a thumb drive for the SD card and view your video on your laptop or PC. There is a Redtiger Player available that you can and should download that contains all of the functions for playback of this cam.Negatives: When playing back the video the informational text for things like time stamp, GPS, etc. shows up at the bottom of the screen, which can sometimes make it hard to read, since it's also very small.Solution: Place the informational text at the top of the screen, which generally is viewing SKY, and make it larger since this area is not of importance in any way.Negatives: There is a time setting where when files are created, you must choose - 1 minute, 3 minutes or 5 minutes. Thereby after downloading files you can select from a bunch of files, presumably to facilitate finding the file you wanted. Still tedious indeed.Solution: As the cam is recording, allow the recording to directly access and download to your phone without interruption. Perhaps have a 1 hour period and then over write to withhold no more than one hour on your phone. If there has been an occurrence you can simply SAVE the file. To view it you could easily see it on your phone or you could send it to your big screen tv. The SD card would merely become a backup for emergency situations.Bottom Line: The suggestions above are really about User Friendliness. If anything, I believe that they have attempted to input too many features. I'm recommending simplifying the process with slightly different thinking. I also recommend buying the Touch model, as without it, it's somewhat awkward to use. The picture quality is great, front and back and the service is excellent. You get what you pay for.The method of operation and the thought pattern for usage should be that you view your video on a laptop, or pc, on the Player app that is provided. In short, the cam records, the app provides viewing via computer. I really like the app since it provides both front and rear at the same time, plus you can zoom the view and even choose only front or only back as you like. All info is visible like GPS, a google may of travel, speed of travel, date and time. This app is a very important part of the operation. Still it could use a bit of tweaking. Overall, I love this thing. I can't imagine what it would have been like to have this in the early 80s when I was a private investigator.
Great Dashcam. Fabulous Customer Service! Insufficient Parking Mode Instructions (read below). Purchased this for my wife's RAV4. I like having both the front and rear cameras and love how compact they are; they are fairly unobtrusive in both locations. The front camera is mostly behind the rear-view mirror (the camera is small enough to easily fit entirely behind the mirror, but the car's OEM black box against the windshield is already occupying the ideal real estate). The rear camera is tucked up at the top of the rear window (just at the top of the rear wiper sweep area) and is barely noticeable. I liked that I could rotate the rear camera in its holder to the view angle I wanted. The cable length on the rear camera was more than sufficient to reach front-to-back in this car (and easily tucked away behind the headliner and other trim pieces), but I'm not sure if it would be enough for a full-size SUV like an Excursion. It does have an inline connector near the rear camera which was convenient when installing the rear camera and running the wire and may allow for an extension to be used. The video quality looks great. I set my front resolution down to 1080p since I feel that will be sufficient for our day-to-day needs. In my opinion, the quality of the footage will be impacted more by how clean the glass is and the weather conditions outside than the quality of the cameras.I like that I can set whether and how long the screen is visible when the dashcam is on. Most of the time, I prefer to have the displays screen off. It takes some clicking to get through all of the menus, but I found the UI intuitive and easy enough to use.The included lighter adaptor worked fine, but I got the hardwire kit (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09WCTZ3Y8?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1) to run permanently and to enable Parking Mode (see note below).I also got the 3M Mount (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09SFY13TZ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) so I could mount the camera a bit higher behind the rear-view mirror. I'll use the suction mount and lighter adaptor when using the dashcam on trips in a rental car. You'll want to get a larger (e.g. 256 GB) High Endurance U3 SD card (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P4HBRMV?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) as the included SD card is only U1.NOTE on the hardwire kit and Parking Mode: I connected the wires as instructed (yellow->BATT, red->ACC, black->GRD) but did not see the behavior I was expecting from the dashcam: the dashcam immediately turned on even though the ACC power was off, and I could not turn on Parking Mode. This led me to believe that the documentation was wrong, so I reversed the red and yellow wires which resulted in the dashcam not turning on until ACC power was on and allowing me to set Parking Mode (or so I thought), so I felt that I had figured it out. However, I then realized that the dashcam would not stay on - it never recorded any footage while the car was on (or off). Gratefully, I found a Q&A response from "Elizabeth B" back on 10/7/2021 which explained how to properly set up Parking Mode (which doesn't appear to be documented anywhere with either product):1. Connect wires as described above (Yellow = constant 12v, Red = switched 12v, Black = ground).2. Turn on acc power (but do not start engine).3. Press menu button and select "Parking".4. While blue message box is shown on the F7N display, turn off acc power (this has to be timed well). You should see a new blue message box and the F7N unit will power off.5. Turn acc power back on (but do not start engine).6. Press menu button and select "Parking".7. You will now see the menu options for Parking Mode and be able to configure it how you like.credit: Elizabeth B.(Attention REDTIGER: You should include these steps in your documentation and compensate Elizabeth.)After reverting my wire connections back to match the documentation and following the steps above, my hardwired dashcam is now functioning perfectly - including Parking Mode.Even though my installation and set-up experience with the hardwire kit wasn't ideal, I do have to say that the REDTIGER customer service was outstanding! They were responsive, proactive, and empowered to do the right things for their customers. Thank you Nora!As for the apps, the Android app seems to work sufficiently well. It does take a LONG time to download the video files over the dashcam's wi-fi. I prefer to remove the SD card and copy the files directly to my PC.I'm not very impressed with the PC app (Windows 10) yet. I tried it only once, but it seemed to have a hard time after viewing the first video, and even that wasn't great. It's intended to show both front & rear video simultaneously, which I think is great, but I haven't been able to get it work very well. I'll try again and see if I can get it run better. I was surprised to discover that the rear camera records audio, so it doesn't sound great when both front and rear audio are played at the same time. I muted the rear audio and used just the front audio. The video files run just fine on third-part video players.Bottom line: I love the dashcam and rear camera; easy to use; good video; absolutely fabulous customer service.
Very good Camera and easy to set up, have had the camera for a few days now and it works pretty good and video is clear. Menu is easy to navigate as well, the app is pretty basic but works well for what you need from it. No complaints at this time other then i would rather have the sticky pad for the windshield rather then the suction cup due to the suction cup falling off in extreme heat or cold. But thats not a defect with the product more just a preference. Overall a very good product for the money
Great product, I had a few issues that meant a replacement was needed and the customer care was exceptional. The unit is installed and working well, it is particularly useful to have a rear camera as well. The design and look is modern and discreet. Excellent value for money considering all that is included, with great video quality, speed and connectivity features. Sound playback is clear and the features are accessible both within the unit and through the iOS app.

Replaced faulty camera quickly. Ordered 2, more ne would not connect. Requested exact replacement which came in quickly. Clean images/video, simple app, and great quality especially for the price. Includes a 32gb SD microcard for recording. Videos Can be downloaded from app into phone. Would buy again.
Update the firmware if you have Bluetooth connection problems. This is my first dashcam, it was affordable, and I really like the security of having it on the front of my vehicle. However, this model had trouble connecting to the Thinkware app on my Android phone through Bluetooth.Rebooting the dashcam, etc., didn't fix the situation. The solution was to download and install the latest "firmware" update onto the dashcam's microSD card, which I just finished doing. You can download firmware updates for this model here: thinkwarestore.com/files/f70-pro/I followed the 6-step instructions on that page, and the dashcam and my phone app then synced perfectly.Downloading and copying the new firmware files to the microSD card isn't terribly difficult, but it requires a little computer knowledge. Following is an overview of the update process. If you don't know a lot about computers/SD cards, I'd suggest finding someone good with them who can help you out.---In advance you'll need to buy a small USB/microSD adapter (if you don't already have one) that lets you physically connect the microSD card to your PC. After downloading the firmware ZIP file, extract the files from it to any convenient folder on your computer.Pop the microSD card out of the dashcam, insert it in your USB/microSD reader, and insert the reader into a USB port on your computer. Next open the microSD in a file window on your PC, copy any of the old dashcam recordings you want to preserve from the microSD to somewhere else on your computer, then reformat the microSD (right-click Reformat on Windows).Next copy the two ZIP-unextracted firmware files that came out of the ZIP file to the microSD. Pop the microSD back into the dashcam and wait for the auto-installation to finish (see the instructions on the Thinkware site for specifics).Again, if this sounds too much like geek speak or if you get stuck, maybe ask a friend who's a little bit handy with computers to help you through the process. It really is straightforward.
Keeps beeping intermittently. Worked good for a couple of days. Then it started beeping randomly in the middle of driving and when the car is parked. Feels like it realizes there is an event however there is nothing happening around it and the car is parked.
Works great. Easy to install. Great video. Easy to operate.
Safety. I think having a dash cam is very important, especially when you live in a DC. Area. If you're on a budget, this one is a smart choice
Good Camera with only a couple of complaints. I purchased this dash cam to replace an older larger cam that was starting to have issues. The image quality is good as I expected. I like the small size. My old camera had a display, and was much larger and heavier. I rarely used the display as it was too small to read unless you got very close to it. The Thinkware camera has an app were you can change camera settings, and review/download recorded videos. So really no display is needed.Once concern I have is how well the adhesive tape will hold out. My old dash cam was a suction mount, and those things never stay stuck on the windshield, especially in the hot Texas summer sun. My old dash came had a rear camera that stuck to the back window with adhesive tape. I am surprised that it has not failed in the 3 or 4 years it has been stuck there. The Thinkware camera is light, like the rear camera on my previous dash cam, and the adhesive appears to be strong. So I have a lot of confidence that the Thinkware is not going to lose adhesion, and fall off. But the real test will be the summer heat.Things that could be improved. Downloading recorded videos in the Android app is not intuitive. I figured out how to download a video, but I discovered "download" did not mean what I thought it meant. When you download a video, it saves to the Thinkware cloud, not onto your phone. You can then go to the cloud folder in the app, and download the video to your phone. The thing is the product manual doesn't even address how to download a video. I figured out how to download (to the cloud) a video by playing with the app. But to my surprise I couldn't find it on my phone. I then Googled how to download the file from the app. I didn't find anything for the F70 Pro, but learned of a second Andorid APP to access the cloud to download videos. However, after installing that app, I learned it would not work with the F70 Pro, but was for different models. But, I then figured out how to access the cloud folder in the first Thinkware app that I started with.Don't hold down the wifi button too long, it will format the SD card. I found that out the hard way, and erased my SD card. That's another thing the manual doesn't tell you. But it's good to know that is a quick way to format the memory card.Speaking of wifi, sometimes the phone will disconnect from the camera wifi. Holding the phone a little closer to the camera seemed to help with that. The impact sensor is too sensitive for me. Even having it set to the highest setting (lowest sensitivity) it triggered a lot just driving too and from work. I mean some of the roads here can be a little bumpy, but it would trigger 20 times a day just driving to and from work. That's 20 videos on the memory card that are protected from being overwritten, and are taking up space. I am not sure how many videos my 64MB SD card can hold, but having 100+ protected videos each week would be significantly reducing the available storage space, and would eventually get to the point where no more videos could be saved. In reality I don't see a lot of benefit to the impact sensor. Since the camera continuously records it is going to catch everything on video anyway, whether you have an impact or not. The only benefits are it automatically protects the video, and if you are set up for parking mode, I am guessing the impact sensor would be useful.Overall this is a good camera once you get around the couple of quirks.
reliable history. Have had Thinkware in another vehicle very reliable works well and price was right
Reliable and easy installation. Easy installation. Reliable.picture quality is better than average. But too sensitive- keeps on recording the "event".
This is a great entry level dash cam for those wanting to try one out for the first time. It is a quality product made in South Korea unlike those trash products from China that will fail in a few months which are bundled with spyware to report your information to the Chinese government. The thinkware apps is easy to use and works well to preview and download footage captured during your drive. There are several optional components to allow it to run continuously as a parking security camera as well. Comes with eveything needed including a memory card and 12v adapter which is easily hidden in the trims of your vehicle.
Facile da montare e qualità dell’immagine ottima
Product finishing quality is high and you feel it as soon as you get it out of the box.Camera is compact and installation was easy.Connects to the app smoothly and file transfer is fast.Video quality is good for the price , nothing fancy but will do the job

High Quality. I believe this dash cam is made in America. It is a high-quality item. It is small and compact but does a great job of recording excellent rear and front video. Audio of cabin is also excellent. Watch what you say. It is easily installed and secured following the clear instructions. Controls are easily accessible and clearly marked. User friendly. Can view recordings while installed or can easily connect to PC or other devices for viewing/listening. Compared to other dash cams I have owned, this far outshines them all. Highly recommend this dash cam.
Car essential for security and protection. The dashcam market has been saturated by off brand makers that have similar features and build quality. I decided on the Rove based on the specs, design and company reputation. Their dashcams are made in China (what isn't these days) but offering a local customer service and products backed by a US company are a big plus! It shows in the way they packaged the product from the smallest accessory you might need for a tidy install to a comprehensive user manual really demonstrate their attention to detail.Install took about 2 hrs just because of my meticulous nature to ensure the least amount of cables are showing. Fishing the wires wasn't an issue for me as it was more of "tucking" them in neatly in my case.Video quality which is the most important part seems great. More to come on this as I've only had the dashcam for 4 days but at first impression they capture clear and sharp videos in various lighting conditions. The app also works as intended and is easy to use. It's well thought out and works asynchronously with the dashcams.Overall a good buy!
Easy Set-up and Great Quality. This is incredibly accurate in measuring with its GPS and speed and has great quality. It was easy to set up by myself and the quality of the video is clear. This is such a great dash cam and a great price. The rear camera is a bonus too!
Great price and feels well built. I have purchased a dozen of different car cameras over the past 10 years (some as gifts) and most of the others feel cheaply made but this one is impressive from the boxing to the camera, instruction manual, mounts, wiring etc. I have not installed it yet but I have tested it and ran the set up at home with no problems. The camera walks you through the set up and references the pages on the manual. However, it’s not correct at times such as where to look for your time zone UTM. Having purchased another brand just a month ago? I wish it had the touch screen. However, it is a great deal considering all that’s included. Will update this review once I’ve had more time to road test it.
Sharp video and Well Made. I got this for my wife's car and I was very impressed with the quality. The camera has a very sharp picture and great features. One of my favorite features is the ability to keep WiFi on all the time which is handy when you want to connect to it by phone. The WiFi for the cam in my truck times out before the phone even "sees" the camera. The phone app is pretty intuitive and the manual is pretty thick, detailed and explains every little feature very thoroughly. The whole thing is written in English too - by someone who is likely a native English speaking tech writer. By contrast, the manual that came with the camera I got for my truck is only a few pages long and is written by someone who's English skill is not quite what it needs to be.
Unfortunately disappointed. I drive often so a dash cam is very necessary especially when you’re in New England. I am a long time user of the R2-4k (with the mini usb) and that was phenomenal, I was looking for something with a rear dash connection and this was it.I hardwired this unit and the first issue that lies is that I had issues with the product recognizing the hardwire kit, mind you this is a rove branded hard wire kit. Eventually I got it set up, now the video quality is pretty lame. With my original model I had it on 1080 and it was crisp, my Dual is set to 2.5k with high bit rate but the quality looks like an early 2000s potato cam. The 24 hour parking mode is set up for motion detection and is supposed to alert me when it senses a disruption when I turn the car on, I’ve tested it and it’s doesn’t react. Half the time I don’t even know if it’s on despite the 24/7 power. If you were run the cord neatly around the cabin of the car you might cut it a bit short. The WiFi is set to always on but my phone doesn’t always pick up the device.
Simple installation. Clear instructions. The kit was delivered 2 days after order was placed. Watched one video on general installation(not a Rove, but instructions were identical for my kit). The written instructions were clear and simple to follow.Set-up was a breeze and picture quality is good. For what it's worth, this is my first dash cam.I like the small size of both cameras, so they won't be super obvious from the outside. They can also be detatched if I'm worried about theft. Wish there was another place to store the memory than on the camera itself, since the memory will travel with the canera if stolen while parked...but that is being picky.Overall I am well satisfied based on price, image quality, and ease of installation.I reached out to their customer service via text for help registering the cam and Gunjan was super! Thanks again G.
Rove R2-4K Dual dash cam. This dash cam has very easy installation and wifi connection. The picture quality is very good and the best part for me is the very easy connection to my phones wifi. My previous camera was a real pain to get them connected. My wife likes the small size so it doesn't interfere with your view. After one 1000 mile trip, I'm very happy with this camera. I highly recommend this camera.
