Great dash cam. Fairly intuitive to operate. I replaced it with a bigger storage SD card. Clear and good views on both front and rear cameras. Fast and informative customer service when I had connection issues (issue solved). Only problem I have is the daylight savings time conversion. I can’t seem to find the right GMT zone in the app settings, but I’ll have to play with it to find the right zone.Otherwise, I highly recommend it from the other dash cams that I’ve had.
24 Month Update. 24 month update:Still going strong; both cameras and the heavy duty micro SD card. Good visuals and audio of constant recording. If you use the car diagnostic plug for power source make sure to check the camera connection after taking your car to the repair shop. Sometimes those guys don’t put the plug back in and you’ll lose power to the camera. Just make sure to check the plug is inserted properly for constant power./////////////:::///:::::;;;;;;;;;;;;))))))))))I had the Pro 200 for two years along with the Extreme micro SD card. It has performed flawlessly- both front and back rear cameras. I attribute the performance due to the commercial upgrade SD card.It has been in my windshield in FL, SC, NC, and VA in direct sunlight. What’s more, in the summertime I install a silver heat reflecting screen to reduce interior heat. The camera is trapped between the screen and the windshield in direct sunlight. It must be over at least 120 deg F.IF, and I’d there’s a suggestion (like all card readable tools) the Thinkware software can stand some improvement. But as an engineer my theory is that SW is never FOC. It’s always IOC, always overly expensive, and labor intensive. Just run with it.If you’d looking for a solid dual cam setup this is the one.BTW, I did buy the external power cord plug that fits into the diagnostic car system. The fuse box connection made me Squamish on car warranty should an electric problem arise.Good luck
Great cam with a few quirks. Having a dash cam in your vehicle is essential to me for any car going forward. I saw this one and thought I might as well try it out. One little quirk out of the box was there was no plastic pry tools included to help you hide the cables for the device. Seems a bit odd they couldn't at least include a small one to help you get around the plastic/rubber in your car. I luckily had an extra from a prior camera, so was ok. Install was actually painless. I decided to purchase the ODB 2 power connector with the camera to make powering it easier for when the vehicle is off and it records parking. It made it so much simpler than trying to hardwire the thing and definitely recommend it to anyone looking to make wiring easier for parking mode recordings. So far it has been great. It has a little voice that tells me when it launches itself into regular recording vs parking. It tells me how many parking events occurred so that if I need to I can connect to the cam and pull those. While it doesn't include a screen to view the footage, it makes it quite easy to remove the included MicroSD card OR use the phone app. I noticed a few reviews complain about connecting via wifi...I have not ran into this issue but can offer some advice: Make sure your phone isn't trying to connect to another wifi at the time (like wireless carplay/android auto) AND make sure to give your camera ample time to turn on the wifi (it will tell you when to connect).Just an FYI for those wondering: The camera only takes up to 128GB MicroSD cards from what I understand. It does come included with a 32GB MicroSD card, which for me works fine. When it reaches capacity it just starts overwriting old footage. The other odd quirk I had with the camera was this: While sitting in traffic for a couple minutes, the camera did switch to parking mode for some odd reason for me...I guess it detected it wasn't moving and thought maybe it was being parked. Found it quite odd. After a few seconds of moving though it went back to regular recording. A little worrisome, but have only had it happen once so far.Overall, rated it 4/5 stars because of the quirks. It isn't perfect, but does seem better than cheaper cameras for sure. Definitely still recommend for anyone looking for a decently priced camera.
Good Camera. The video quality is good, not great. However, it gets the job done. The installation is easy if you’re not wiring it. However, get done by a professional so you don’t run the risk of ruining your system.
Worst camera app combo on the market. It's own app will not recognize it and disconnect . Can't install and use and can't return . Would not recommend it to anyone
Great working camera. The media could not be loaded. Great working camera. So easy to install any videos to you phone or tablet. It does stop recording if you are previewing videos or watching live on another device. I also found out it records voice inside, you hear everything once you download and watch, it also smooths out the video when you download it. Overall a very nice front and rear camera for when one of you speeders hit me I’ll be able to prove it was not my fault.
Excellent. Affordable price, and excellent camera, fast delivery
Works great! No distraction from screen. I have had several dashcams in my truck now and I have found that the screen inside the car can be distracting at night and is not useful outside of configuration (that is usually not very intuitive onscreen anyway); this dashcam is small and discreet, and has no bright light in the cabin at night. The picture quality is pretty good, and the 'Pro' kit included the hardwire and plug in adapter. Overall, I am quite happy with this dashcam. My only complaint is that the GPS antenna was not included and had to be purchased separately.
The camera works well. Very wide angle. I was able to connect it so recording continues when parked. Quite easy to install (I'm not a professional). What I don't like is you can't review the footage unless you are sitting in the car connected to the camera's WiFi. The app does not connect using any other WiFi
Very good quality, the app is simple to use
The video quality is impeccable. It is a bit irritating that the CarPlay has to be disabled every time you want to connect to an IPhone. The picture is a little misleading as it shows a GPS that is not included in the package.
The picture for this product is very misleading as it shows a picture of the gps adapter included. However if you read the ad details (which I should have before purchasing) you will see that it's not included like it is in some of thinkware other bundles. This is ok. I take the hit for that one, I should have read the ad, but I still feel like the main picture should not have the gps adapter in it if it's not included in this bundle.Thinkware otherwise is a great reliable dash cam if you are looking to purchase one.
The media could not be loaded. This dash camera cannot able get the car’s license plates. Its may good for something else but hit and run is so rampant today’s traffic situation. I wish, I can give a better reviews to this product that I thought It will get my satisfaction.

Awesome dashcam. The media could not be loaded. Great camera. High quality and very well made. This is the camera that Ford sells directly from their accessories. That being said this is OEM quality nice picture and works great. Has a great PC viewer app (in my video) that you can watch both front and rear camera at the same time as well as an app for iPhone or android to control camera settings and watch video. Very easy to install and looks functional and professional. Comes with a hard wiring kit with plenty of wire as well as cigarette lighter plug and GPS for speed and location. Awesome value for the money. I recommend this product.
Highly recommend. I’ve returned a few because I was so disappointed with them. Others wouldn’t video when needed. This one videos everything. Loving it
Reliable. Using this camera for months now it is reliable and has withstood negative degree weather as well as weather into the high 90’s. The app is a little clunky but it works just fine. Video quality is great for both front and rear cameras. Would recommend!
Good camera but. Wish I could view the footage wherever I am. Seems like I have to be in the car in order to do so.
Quality. Very clear
Great item as advertised. Delivery was great to my Apt Front door - This is the second Thinkware Dashcam I have purchased - I`m replacing one older unit that the rear Cam does not work anymore - Lasted for Many years - could have it repaired but decided to upgrade to a newer model - R. Stewart
Live view doesn’t work, app lags, sounds are annoying. While the dash cam seems to otherwise work and connect with the app, doing anything in the app is SLOW and the live view option simply doesn’t work. Cam also makes a lot of unnecessary noise that isn’t a huge deal, but personally I find annoying. It talks when the car turns on, beeps randomly but often.Could be worse at the price point, I guess, but it could be better too. I miss my old dash cam.
Good. The media could not be loaded. Save my insurance
I’m really impressed with the Q200 Dash Cam! It’s easy to set up, comes with everything you need, and the 1440p footage is sharp and clear, day or night and the audio is crisp. The parking mode, safety alerts and speed camera warnings are super helpful. The Super Night Vision works well in low light. The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth features let me connect easily to the app on my phone. Overall, it’s a solid, reliable dash cam with lots of great features, everything you want and more. Highly recommend!
Very happy with the quality and consistency of recordings.
Stable and it functions as it states

Love it. every time you hear the camera beat when you hit something bump hard Anything it beeps, you take the card out stick it in a reader and it'll show you at that moment what the camera was looking at. I like it and it works great!!!!
Very good dash cam. The f200 pro is a very usable dash cam with good quality video and audio. I have the 2 channel (front and rear) system an feel much better knowing it’s always watching. Very reliable and for the price it’s a great buy.
Nice dashcam. Easy to install. I replaced my old DashCam with this one. So far it’s working good.
Doesn’t come with hardwire kit. I bought a Thinkware camera for myself last year and it came with a hardwire kit. So I bought this camera for my GF for her birthday and just assumed it came with the wire too because it specifically states “parking mode ready”.Two weekends later I get a spot cleared out in my shop and we both have the day off of work so I can put this camera in for her. Open the box and no hard wire kit!! I just had to order one separately and it was $30.00!!!!! Not happy. Only leaving 4 stars because Thinkware makes kick ass cameras.
Good camera. Good quality dash cam for your car at all affordable price
lasted less than 5 minutes. Installed correctly by shop. Couldn't read any of the 3 thinkware memory cards I bought for it. Then stopped powering up at all.
Recommended. Camera works well. Setup was relatively easy. Video quality is great. The only downside is the mobile app is finicky, so I sometimes have to restart it a couple times to make it work. Overall worth the money.
Easy installation and good picture quality. Installed the camera a week ago so I'm not able to provide a rating based on long term usage, but so far I please with the picture quality and compared to other cameras I've tried the set up was very easy. I'll follow up after I've used the camera for a longer period
This is my first dash cam and I have no real experience with other security cameras. I like the size of this camera. I was able to mount it behind the rear view mirror so it’s very unobtrusive. I’m not handy but I was able to install it myself ticking away the wire while being mindful of the air bags. The app works well and pulling off the videos was simple. So far, I’m happy with this
I bought this camera as a theft deterrent and also to record hit and runs. Overall I am extremely satisfied with the build quality, size, picture/video quality, and ease of installation. It has a very wide angle 1080p lens that picks up everything going on in front of the car. I have it hardwired to vehicle battery so that it is always recording upon motion detection. That hardwire kit is an added piece to the kit ($40), It does however come with a cigarette lighter adapter. The reason why I chose to go with the hardwire kit was because the cigarette lighter in my car only has power when the ignition is on. I wanted this camera to be able to monitor when my car was off and I was not inside it.This dashcam does not have a screen built-in so you don't have to worry about being sidetracked in the middle of the night while you're driving. Anytime you want to view what the camera has recorded, simply open the thinkware app and connect to your dash cam so you can view the footage. There is a memory card that it comes with as well. All video footage will be stored on there until you download it to your phone or computer. Night vision quality is above par, have no complaints about that it seems to pick up a lot of motion even from the other side of the street. You can adjust sensitivities and different settings inside of the app as well. The camera has 2 expansion ports as well. One of them is a GPS slot where you can plug in the optional GPS puck, usually goes for about $45 - $50 on Amazon, which would give you speed Telemetry and will warn you on any sort of red light cameras up ahead. When you park your car in the driveway at night, the GPS puck will pick up your Wi-Fi at home and will automatically update or download any new additions for red light cameras Within Canada or the United States, so that you are updated for the next day of driving. The other expansion port is for the rear camera, if you would like to purchase that. If you do buy it, it comes with a back 1080p camera with about 25ft - 30ft of cable that will plug into the dash cam the exact same way the GPS Puck plugs in.Lastly every time you get into the vehicle and you turn it on, the dashcam has an automated voice that will speak to you and it will let you know how many times it detected motion and how many times there was a recorded hit. Keep in mind any time you open or close the door, the trunk or the hood, the dashcam records it as a hit as well.
I have only had it about a week, so long term I can't comment. But initial thoughts, easy to setup, has good picture, it is sensitive with the shock sensor as it notifies when triggered. Compact and the wifi feature is great, it can handle 128g cards which is great also, is you will have less rewrites on the card hopefully prolonging the life of them.
Wouldn't drive without it
Very disappointed that it came used, when I specifically ordered a new one. The box was torn and the seal was broken. No instructions in the box. I paid the full amount for a new one and got the used one at no discount! Dissatisfied to say the least. Hopefully it works well.

Easy Setup and Smart Phone Integration. I will preface this review by first stating that I just received this dash-cam and have not put it through long term use and testing. This review is based largely on features and ease of setup and use.Overall, the dash cam provided the features, flexibility and affordability (at sale price) I was looking for with a high definition 4k video, ease of use for setup, configuration and on-the-go activation and recording. The kit and packaging are well thought out and very professionally done.Although, there was very good documentation and a full small print manual provided, it would have been nice if they had a quick setup card that provided the following steps:1) Mounting. Kit contains several options from mounting: a suction cup style window mount and a 3M adhesive strip mounting bracket that can be used for dash mounting. The suction cup has a rotational clamping mechanism that tightens the suction and works very well, much better than others I have seen in past years. Make sure you clean the windshield first in the mounting area with the cleaning towlets provided.2) Initial setup is relatively easy. Plug it into the USB lighter adapter and the camera powers up. Step it through the questions on the dashcam display, all my responses were just to confirm OK, and it is ready to go, starts recording right away.3) Smart Phone App. Go to the Play Store and search for "Rove" and download the Rove Dashcam app. QR scan codes are provided in the manual that will take you directly to the Play Store download. For android, the link is https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rovedashcam.android4) Connect Smart Phone. Turn on the wifi button on the dashcam (physical button at bottom, center with orange triangular symbol). Turn on wifi on your smart phone. Scan and connect to the ROVE R2-4K DUAL Dash Cam that shows up. Use the password that is displayed on the dashcam display. The display is pretty small so you may need something to magnify to read or reference the manual page 29 - link provided below.5) Configure smart phone app. Step through the questions, they are pretty straight forward. When I did the setup, the dash cam found the correct time and date automatically. You can check by going to the Settings -> System -> Date/Time on your the Rove smart phone app, after setup is completed to ensure the correct date and time are set and make adjustments if needed.6) Customizing Settings: The default settings were pretty much on target. There are customizable options for the following that I saw people asked some questions about:A) Audio Recording - On/OffB) Duration of Video Loop Recording Segments - 1, 3, 5, 10 minute video clip lengths; smaller clips make it easier to find events in your videoC) Video Resolution - Font/Main Camera: 4K, 2K, 1K HD; Rear Camera: 1K HD onlyD) Video Stamping with time, position, speed infoIf you have questions about additional features, download the manual, search and review to find settings you are interested. The manual is well done and pretty complete.R2-4K Dashcam OEM Product Page: https://www.rovedashcam.com/products/rove-r2-4k-dual-dash-cam-front-and-rear-starvis-2-sensor-free-128gb-card-included-5g-wifi-up-to-20mb-s-fastest-download-speed-with-app-4k-2160p-fhd-dash-camera-for-cars-3-ips-24h-parking-modeR2-4K Dashcam Manual: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2287/2433/files/CPL_For_R2-4K_R2-4K-PRO_R2-4K-DUAL_User_Manual_Updated_JAN-2025.pdfThis was everything I needed to get the dash cam up and running.
Good camera for your vehicle. Great product. Easy to install. Recommend getting the hardwire kit with this to make it have a wire hanging in your field of view. Videos download to your phone app over the wireless function fast and easy. Good pictures at night and I would recommend the front camera polarized lens with the purchase. It cuts down on a lot of day and night time glare. Good price for the product.
All the fancy things in one dashcam. The Rove 4K Dual Dash Cam delivers an impressive mix of features, making it a solid choice for both daily drivers and road trip enthusiasts. Its 4K front camera ensures you capture every detail, while the 1080p rear camera provides solid coverage of what’s behind you. What sets it apart is the built-in GPS for tracking your trips and Wi-Fi connectivity for easily accessing and sharing footage. Night vision is another highlight—it performs surprisingly well in low light, giving you peace of mind on nighttime drives. The design is intuitive, with an easy-to-navigate interface and support for large storage, up to 512GB. Whether it’s for safety, evidence, or simply documenting your drives, the Rove 4K packs all the features you’d expect in a premium dashcam without overcomplicating things. It’s reliable, versatile, and worth considering
Great dash cam and app is easy to use. So far I really love this dash cam! It was pretty easy to set up. It doesn't have a touch screen. Everything is controls with the buttons. The wifi is a little annoying to set up and reconnect, but overall works well. The installation wasn't difficult. They gave long cords for connection and pads for the adhesive so it doesn't mess up window tint. I feel more safe with it recording and it was a great deal!
A great Dash cam with opportunities for improvement. A great front and rear dash cam. This dash cam is a great choice, especially for the price point. It comes with its own SD card and everything you need to mount each camera including the plastic trim prying tool. This dash cam has a front video that is upscaled to 4K. It is good enough to read license plates from the recording. The read camera is 1080p quality which can make it a challenge, is not impossible to ready plate numbers on the video recording. The app works excellently and the dash cam has plenty of features. Too many to list here, but you can read them all on their website. The usability is excellent, especially that they still use physical buttons which makes using the device super easy and is better in my opinion than touch-screen. This model uses a super-capacitor so you don't have to worry about overheating or extreme cold affecting the product longevity as you would with one powered by a battery. My only two suggestions are to 1. Make a rear 4K (or at least 2K) plug-and-play upgrade/replacement for the rear camera. Customers who bought this should be able to disconnect the rear camera and plug in at least a 2K if not 4K camera using the existing, already-routed USB cable. 2. Allow end-users to use the 24HR parking mode without the hardware kit. If you have a portable power station and plug that into a AC or DC outlet in your car you should not be worried about the dash cam draining the vehicle battery, and hence should be allowed to override this restriction in the software with a simple firmware update. Rove, if you're reading this, please make these two happen. Will go a long way to retaining current customers in my opinion.
After buying another brand and out of the box was nothing but problems i sent it back, I tried rove. Love it, works great, quality is great, easy to install, nice screen to view, and i believe the biggest memory card that comes in any brands camera. Everything needed for a easy install, and this one comes with a booklet, no looking on the internet for instructions. I highly recommend this one! Price was also good
Mejor imposible, la definicion de la camara es insuperable, fácil de usar y con el filtro que venden por separado incrementa la calidad del video, el sercicio a cliente es de clase mundial, Inmejorable. Excelente. 100% Recomendable
Far better than expected;* Easy to install (plenty of cable* Has tool and clips to deliver a professional installation by anyone* Has a capacitor (not battery) to record any collision's when parked, long term requires hard wire kit.* Great App (unfortunate registration/sign-up)* 128Gb high quality card included* Get the lens filter when you buy (better for night and day clarity)
Im impressed by the quality and simplicity of this setup. I perched the hardwired kit from Rove and I think it is a better way to go. I installed the camera kit in a Sorento 2025. the provide wire for the rear camera in the ward-wire kit is adequate length by fishing the wire underneath the scuff plate without removing trim. Everything you need comes in the kit. Even the fuse holder that works flawlessly and rapidly. I was amazed by the small multimeter/test light being provided in the hard-wired kit the work like a charm. Great quality video with the front and the rear camera. The Rove app is user friendly and you do not need university degree to be able to navigate and setting up all the parameters via your phone. Whit the built in wifi it is easy to access your footage in case of emergency or provide as proof of imbecility of other drivers 😇. The built in gps provides precise positioning wen properly enter the gps tine zone.
Even when the car is stoped can’t read the plate number just in frond of your car. Totalblurred image. No yet worth for the money I paid. It’s my review after one month use.

Great Cam and a Great Price! Packed with features. We purchased the F7N Redtiger camera about 18 months ago and it has now paid for itself 100x over when it provided evidence to the police and insurance that my wife was not the one at fault in an accident that totaled her vehicle and the other party lied to the police. My wife was going to get the ticket after the officer talked to the other party first, but she was able to show the officer the cam video and they reversed course and issued the ticket to the other party. Then the other party lied to their insurance, but after providing the video to their insurance, the adjuster immediately accepted 100% responsibility.Easy to install and with clearly written English instructions. Great suction cup with integrated GPS antenna makes installation a breeze. Cam will slide off mount if you want to hide it while parked without removing the entire mount. Crystal clear video, front at 4k and back at 2k, produce high resolution video where you can read license plates and even identify who was driving another vehicle.Even more importantly, it has a good app that you can use to directly download video from the cam without pulling the card and taking it to a computer. Just in case you are in an accident, you can instantly download the relevant video to your phone and show to Law Enforcement and e-mail to your insurance company. This is hugely important so a ticket can be issued to the at-fault party on scene as my wife did. If you can't show the officer when writing the report, they may issue the ticket to the wrong party or no one if they can't figure out who was at fault. If this happens, it's a long up-hill battle to get the other party's insurance to pay out and the police will never cancel an incorrectly issued ticket, so it forces you to go to court to defend yourself. If you are in a serious accident (if anyone goes to the hospital, it's serious), the officer may confiscate the SD card or even the whole camera for evidence. You may not get it back for weeks or even months. Sometimes they get lost an then you have nothing. Have a copy safely on your phone so you can give it to your insurance company and lawyer immediately!Buy the REDTIGER F7N Dash Cam Hardwire Kit to go with it if you want 24/7 monitoring without killing your car battery. Never wonder who backed into you in a parking lot or keyed your car if it happens to you. Some things that set Redtiger apart from the others:They actually have tech support. We had an issue with one camera not liking our SD card and contacted support to see if we had a bum Cam or bad setting as the issue was intermittent. Turns out it was just a faulty card after running a write test on the computer. Not a big issue as SD cards are cheap, but good to know that if you have an issue that Redtiger does support what they sell.Software updates. We've owned the F7N for about 18 months and have received software updates to improve functionality. The cam was great when we got it and even better now with new features added.Proof in the pudding:We liked our F7N so much we just bought another Redtiger cam, a F7N Touch, for a new (to us) vehicle and it's great too.Note: I wasn't paid for this review nor given a demo unit or anything else. I'm only a satisfied customer that is enjoying the premium quality and features at a great price vs the big-name competitors and their high prices.
The best thing ever. With the rise in crime and reckless driving, I decided to invest in a dash cam for added security and peace of mind. This device provides continuous front and rear recording, ensuring there’s always an extra set of eyes on my vehicle. To simplify installation, I purchased an OBD hardwire kit, eliminating the need to modify any fuses. The setup was straightforward—essentially plug-and-play. While routing the cables can be a bit tricky, the included trim tool made the process easier. One of the standout features of this dash cam is its ability to record overnight in low-power mode when hardwired. In fact, I’ve already captured footage of suspicious activity around my car. However, I found that the included SD card wasn’t optimal for long-term, high-definition recording. To address this, I upgraded to a high-endurance, weather-resistant SD card with larger storage capacity. The camera also offers Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing seamless video downloads via the app. Alternatively, you can remove the SD card and transfer footage to a computer. The video quality is excellent, even at night, though I do wish it had slightly better clarity for capturing license plates.Additionally, the built-in screen provides easy access to settings, video playback, and features like parking mode and impact detection. If you’re on the fence about investing in a dash cam—go for it. The added security and potential protection in various driving situations make it well worth the investment.
Good set for the money. Been running this for a bit in the car. Decent quality video from the front. 4k? I don't know about that. Looks fairly pixelated at times, but it's unsharpened highly, to judge by the details on license plates and street signs. That makes them easy to read. For a hundo, performs better than I expected. Rear camera's mushier of course, but adequate. Speaking of which, is that rear cable long enough for your car? Well I ran it from the front windshield of our Chrysler minivan all the way to the back window and had not only enough slack to let the tailgate open w/o issue, but there's still probably a foot to spare, so it's plenty long. FRONT CABLE should be a foot longer, IMO. In both my Honda Accord and the Chrysler van, it was barely long enough to get from the front dash lighter socket around passenger side wheelwell and up back to middle of windshield.Bench testing in dim or harshly lit kitchen, seems good so far. Simple controls, good manual. The Android app has terrible reviews, but it worked OK for me. Connection process was fine. Downloaded selected videos fine (larger front files at 4k obviously take a while) over camera-to-phone wifi. This is on a cheap OnePlus Android phone. Pulled card and threw it into a card reader on computer and the files also downloaded just fine. (Faster this way.) Date/time stamp with GPS coords on file were all there in either. Not sure how the GPS track is encoded, not sure if I'll install their software or not (download from a google site, gives of sketchy vibes...)Downloaded their windows software, works OK, but could not get front/rear video to switch or play sidebyside. Turns out the files looked like they were named incorrectly from front and rear, rear file always having its last second (file name in format YYYYMMDDHHMMSS_####) 1 second later than front camera file. Renaming those, software would play it, but putting these files in video editor, it was easy to see the problem. Rear camera starts 0.02 seconds before the front camera. Not a huge deal I suppose, but with follow-on effects like file-naming issue, kind of a pain.
Llega con su instructivo muy claro, no es necesario ser un experto para instalarlo pero si hay que conocer un poco de los interiores del auto para poder ocultar los cables. Si tiene buena resolución en ambas cámaras, la frontal mucho mejor.
I am thoroughly impressed with the REDTIGER F7NP Dash Cam! The 4K front and 2.5K rear resolution deliver crystal-clear video quality, making every detail easy to see, even in low-light conditions. The built-in Wi-Fi and GPS are incredibly convenient, allowing me to download videos directly to my phone and track driving routes effortlessly. The 170° wide-angle lens captures a broad view of the road, and the WDR and night vision ensure excellent performance day or night. The 24-hour parking mode provides peace of mind, and the included 32GB memory card means it’s ready to use right out of the box.The compact 3.18” IPS screen is sleek and easy to navigate, and the dash cam’s overall design is intuitive. Installation was a breeze, and it has been performing flawlessly. This product offers exceptional value and reliability for anyone looking for a high-quality dash cam. Highly recommended!
I purchased the red tiger dashcam after seeing numerous reviews on TikTok and I decided to hardwire it myself.Easy installation - it took me roughly about 30 minutesFeatures - Strong WiFi, I can connect to the dash cam from my home, gps is a nice featureLarge screen size and footage quality is really goodHappy with my purchase!
Klare Kaufempfehlung.

It works, it lasts, great customer service. Ive used so many different brands of dash cams since 2012, ive settled with Thinkware because it works better than advertised, it lasts 4+ years, no over heating issues, no glitches, easy to set up, plug and playmost importantly it saves all the files with no error issues. If you are looking for a solid dash cam for your car, this product is the way to go. Very affordable for the quality. Ive ordered 3 for my family, ill be purchasing their 4k dash cam for myself. Very excited for that upcoming device.
An instruction manual would be nice. No instruction manual at all! I’ve used Thinkware dashcams before, so I had an idea on how to set the unit up. AND IT STILL WAS A PAIN IN THE ARSE! Download a new app, Set up the WIFI, Update the software, Try and scan a blurry non working code, Figure a workaround for that, Download files for the red light photo and speed zones, Set the parameters for camera and driving features without knowing what they are……. Not Easy! YouTube videos helped somewhat… A simple instruction manual would have alleviated all this headache.Sound quality could be improved as well. But other than that, it’s a real nice working unit.
Great product. This dash cam just launched this year so it has the newest technology. I am satisfied with the performance and quality.Easy to installI found the user manual in the support section of the Thinkware Link app, followed it and installed in a short amount of time.Easy to connect to the app.Clicked the WiFi icon on the screen, scanned the QR code shown with the Thinkware Link app, connected!Smart driving alerts (recommendedFront vehicle departure warning and Traffic signal alert features are really convenient. The response time of both features are fast and alerts you right away. It notifies you when the signal changes and when the vehicle in front of you starts to drive off. I tend to get distracted easily when driving. The drivers behind can thank Thinkware for offering these features in their dash cams.Comes with a memory card.It is kind of nice that Thinkware included a memory card, most of the other brands don't come with one. 32GB of memory isn't a lot but at least I didn't have to hassle in buying one separately.I will update this review in a few months after I get in some use.
My Honest Review. [Updated on 10/12/24]Customer service finally gave me an answer (after about 3 months I submitted my initial complaint). They told me to turn off night vision, and they had no other solution. But I’ve already turned it off, and I still could not record license plates at night. What is the point of advertising “super night vision” if you’re saying not to use it? Basically, this is a product that they cannot fix.—————————————[My Original Review]I have tried many dashcams through the years. I have tried from $50 entry dashcams to the more expensive Starvis 2 sensor ones. I was not happy with the cheaper ones due to poor image quality. The ones with the latest Sony’s image sensor were a little better, but they did not justify the high pricetag. Also, the great reviews online about their capability to capture license plates at night — I learned you should take those with a grain of salt. Then I decided to go another direction. I decided to give the Arc, which is Thinkware’s new mid-level product, a try. Here are some things I have found after using this product extensively over the past 4 months.Pros:1. Good daytime images for front AND rear cameras.2. Reliable motion detection and impact recording with trademark beep sound3. Energy saving parking mode4. Useful ADAS feature which alerts you when signal turns green or the car ahead of you is leaving. Also warns you of red light cameras. I love this feature. It is somewhat accurate and immediately gives notifications.5. Nice blinking LED security light in motion parking mode.(you can also turn it off)6. Connects to your phone via WIFI so you can view recordings or change settings.7. Rear camera image quality during the day is as good as the front.8. Comes with a hardwire kit9. Sensitive sensors (you can adjust the sensitivity) — assures even minor impacts will be detected10. Beautiful designCons:1. The touch screen won’t respond many times2. The rear camera orientation won’t reverse in the app so you need to install it correctly the first time3. This could be a deal-breaker: Night recording tends to be blurry or over-exposed, making it almost impossible to read any license plates at night. The rear camera is even worse.4. Volume (female system voice) is annoyingly loud even on the lowest setting.5. Need to turn carplay off to connect to phone.6. The dashcam body consistently remains very hot when it is on, even during parking mode. I am worried if the circuits will withstand the heat longterm.7. Thinkware’s dashcam viewer app for Mac has issues. Also, it is recorded in km per hour, not mph even when you adjust the settings.8. Battery low warning comes on my car after 1 or 2 days continuously parked in parking mode.9. No option to turn on security LED lights during energy saving parking mode. Also, no LED light function at all on the rear camera.10. Terrible customer support. It’s been 2-3 months since I asked them for help because night recording are so blurry, but all they did was keep asking me to send sample recordings to them. I responded to all their requests and sent many footages, but they suddenly stopped responding to me. They are not responding to me at all after having me send so many of my recordings. I have not seen such disrespect from any company. Looked like they wanted to keep me only until the return period ended. This dashcam’s night time image quality is very poor and has serious issues. It’s basically night and day (no pun intended). I would not recommend this dashcam if you drive at night or want to use parking mode at night since license plate recognition is so poor that it is inlikely to capture any license plate numbers in an accident. Your headlights will over-expose any license plates in front and any darkness will blur it out — nothing in between. What’s the point of having a dashcam when it can’t read a license plate 3 feet in front of you? I have tested other cheaper dashcams and they had better night recordings than this. There are features like the ADAS feature which alerts you when the signal turns green. Or security blinking LED lights which many other brands don’t have. But there are too many cons. It was even frustrating just to set the time correctly since the Arc dashcam uses some weird time zone system. Overall, the Arc dashcam kind of feels like it’s unpolished which is why I regret buying this dashcam. I have lost all credibility in Thinkware. I have reached out to Thinkware and asked for assistance on these issues, and they still haven’t provided any real solution yet for 2 months now. They kept telling me “rest assured we will support you.” But as soon as my return window closed, they stopped replying. I was hoping Thinkware’s engineers would develop a firmware or software update to improve all or any of these issues I’ve mentioned above. But, now I don’t expect it will ever happen. I feel I’ve been tricked to keep this product and not be able to return it since the deadline passed. My Final verdict: I do not recommend this product or the brand.
Great Dash Cam for Everyday Use. This dash cam has been a solid addition to my car. The video quality is clear and reliable, both during the day and at night. It captures everything you need with its wide-angle lens and handles low-light conditions really well.Setup was quick and easy, and it doesn't get in the way while driving. The loop recording feature is great, so I never have to worry about managing storage, and the G-sensor ensures important moments are saved.Overall, it's a dependable dash cam that's simple to use and perfect for everyday driving. Highly recommend!
Much improved from previous models/app. I have an older Thinkware dash cam and decided to give them another try. The camera was always solid, but the app was a joke. Not a huge deal because I just took the card out and manually grabbed files when I wanted them. This version with their new app is much better, but still not an amazing app. Everything works as expected, video access is simple, and the video quality is still good. Just isn't very intuitive what they set in the options. It has an included rear camera as well which I didn't have before, perfect to run to the back of a crew cab truck rear window. I'd get this model again just for the video quality and video that records every time without thinking about it. Never had to use it for anything major yet, but I've looked at a few crazy drivers on playback, got everything I wanted to see.
pictures and videos are great
We paid for technician to install it for parking mode, seems all good, haven’t found any problem yet.
I decided to get this dash cam after my friend was in an accident because I wanted it to help me with any insurance claims in the future. The video quality is great, I love the sleek design and the LCD touchscreen was intuitive and responsive, making it easy to use.The camera was simple to install after reading the instructions and watching videos online. The most time consuming part is hiding the wires. At first, I found connecting to the WiFi to be difficult, but after re-reading the instructions on how to connect, I realized that I was scanning the QR code incorrectly. At first, I was scanning the QR code with my camera, but you are suppose to scan the QR code in the mobile app. After realizing that, it was simple to connect to the settings and WiFi to view my videos. While the price is a little higher than other dash cams I was looking at, it is worth it due to the diverse built-in safety and smart driving alerts and the peace of mind it provides me while I’m driving. I highly recommend it!
I've done a lot of research, I wanted a solid dash cam that didn't break the bank. This is the best bundle I've seen as you get pretty much everything you need to install it. It's good quality and I'm sure it will last a long time. The picture quality is perfect, especially at night.
The ease of installation/operation was a major contributing factor in purchasing these cameras. The size was perfect. The quality of video, front and rear cameras, PARKING MODE, PRICE, loop recording and ease of operation sealed the deal. Everything was explained in detail enough for me to understand what this camera did and what I needed to use it. Our first dash cam and I have to say we’re pleased. However, my husband’s camera is mounted in a one ton Dually and even with the incident sensitivity set to “low/lowest” - the incident warning beeps has him a bit annoyed. We live in Saskatchewan and our highways are atrocious to say the least. Needless to say the incident recording alarm goes off quite a bit. It could be a deal breaker for him. I’ll try to find online videos that may help with this.I haven’t gone anywhere in my vehicle yet. I hope I have a bit more luck. The connectivity, well, I’m gonna have to re-read that portion a few times. Not sure I’m understanding that. That’s about the only difficulty we had installing these dashcams. The app would be great to use. They’re a bit glitchy yet, not sure if that’s the operators fault or just a glitch. The main greeting when starting the vehicle is played only some of the times prior to our trip, leaving us wondering if it’s recording at all, but the we hit a bump and the incident warning bells go off lol.Being new to the world of dash cams, I’m hoping this is just a learning curve, time will tell I suppose. Super excited to get the kinks worked out I really like this set.

- 【4K FRONT + 2K REAR* & SUPER NIGHT VISION 4.0 W/ SONY STARVIS 2 SENSOR】The U3000 delivers improved 4K front and 2K rear recording compared to the U1000, thanks to STARVIS 2 and a more powerful Ambarella CPU. The addition of an adjustable bitrate offers the flexibility to record sharper footage. Also, the U3000 features Super Night Vision 4.0 which takes advantage of STARVIS 2’s high sensitivity and low noise technology to help the dash cam capture clearer footage in low-light conditions.

Honestly. The Thinkware U3000 is a fantastic dash cam for those who want top notch features and quality! The front 4K video quality is awesome. The rear 2K video quality is also sharp. The super night vision works surprisingly well, making night driving footage well lit. I like the parking mode feature for added security. It’s excellent for capturing incidents when I’m away from the car. Installation was straightforward, though the device is larger but worth it because of the advanced technology it holds. It’s on the pricier side, but for me the quality and features justify the cost. If you want a high end dash cam that covers all bases with top notch video and features, the U3000 is totally worth it!
Great dash camera for the car. This dash camera is the best one, we bought ane previously for our car so this is actually our second purchase. We get recommendations from police officer which use it this particular one. Very easy to use ,you can see everything on the phone app, very clear vision.
Nice. I previously had a Thinkware Q800Pro and was looking to upgrade. In particular, I wanted an extended parking mode, better resolution, better night performance and hopefully better smartphone integration. These are just my initial thoughts as I learn more about useage:If you have a Thinkware previously, the hardwire setup is the same. I did have to re-install the rear camera cable as it uses a different plug at both ends compared to my old setup. The kit does come with an OBDII power cable that allows for parking mode. It also has a cigarette lighter power cord and the hardwire kit. To include all 3 possible power cords is quite generous as these are NOT cheap to purchase separately. It also includes a CPL filter which you do have to install on the front camera lens.Setup is NOT intuitive. There is no included manual although I searched for it online and downloaded it. The apps you need from the App store: Thinkware Connected, and Thinkware Dash Cam Link. Registering the unit is not intuitive. First, open the Dash Cam Link and connect to the dash cam. Next, at the bottom right of the screen are 4 dots--select that to go to Network and add a hotspot or home wifi. Then go to Thinkware Connected to register with the product barcode on the bottom of the dashcam or the MAC address listed in the previous Network section (once connected). Then I just went line by line in all the settings in Dash Cam Link.Rear RADAR camera park mode: I will be testing this next. Some say it doesn't work. Start by making sure the plug is fully inserted into the port. BTW, the rear cable has a front and a back. The back has a little lip to keep it fully engaged into the camera port. My cable had a sticker "front" near the front of the cable.Update:. radar in rear camera unit doesn't work at all. Not from any distance. moreover the two different apps is odd. the switching from bluetooth to wifi is also odd and didnt work for me when i had wireless carplay connnected. Thinkware support had nothing to say about the rear radar. Ultimately, the time I spent installing this was wasted... and more time uninstalling it too! I refuse to be a beta tester. Also, despite the increased resolution, picture quality didnt seem much different to the Q800pro...mediocre!
Reliable in the heat. I live in LA and we get some crazy heat in the summer. My last dash cam, the Viofo A119 died on me so I was hesitant about trying another one. However with all these bad drivers out there, I still think it's better for me to have one so I bought this U3000. Been using it for the past couple days and the cam has been great at handling the heat. I’m quite impressed with how reliable it is and the video quality is way better than I expected.
Solid Upgrade From F800 Pro 2- Channel. I've been using Thinkware products for many years. Mainly been using the Thinkware F800 2 Channel in my F150. I recently decided to upgrade to the U3000, and am not disappointed at all. It is a very solid upgrade over the previous 1080 generation of dash cameras from Thinkware. The app is much more intuitive then the older one which constantly had connection issues. I did have a few issues at first as I could not get the U3000 to connect to the app for the initial setup. After many hours of trouble shooting I found out it was because I plopped in the older dash camera MicroSD card that was full, and the camera wouldn't function correctly until I reformatted the MicroSD card on the computer. I was then able to plug it in and complete the initial setup and reformat the card on the device directly.Overall the camera quality is great, the parking modes, and the included OBD connection setup is fantastic. Much easier, and don't have to worry about hardwiring this camera directly to the battery/fusebox. The parking modes can be a bit intimidating, but with some tweaking you can get it just right so that you don't have 10+ alerts every time you get in the car.Compared to some other dash camera brands, I was a bit reserved on my purchase, as some online videos were pretty rough on this U3000, regarding quality compared to other 4k models. But in the end, I went ahead with the U3000 just due to the reliability of the parking modes, and experience with the previous camera I've used for many years. On sale, this is a must have for sure if you want something reliable that will function on very hot summer days or very cold winter nights and still function as intended. There are also many online features that I have not yet tested.
100% Worth it. I purchase the unit when it was $500 for the two channel. I’m sure down the road it will drop in price. Even at $500, I think this unit is worth it. I’ve had the unit for about two months now. So far I love everything about it, even the announcements, which I think are SUPER helpful. The video quality is really good. The one thing I did hate is that 3M sticker that you need to peel off. That thing is horrible. To point out, that’s a 3M sticker problem and not Thinkware3 Month update: I love the unit. My only complaint is that connecting to the unit through the app is pretty slow; however, I rarely try to connect. If I need a video, I just do it through the laptop using the sd card.
I didn't have any problems with the rear camera - installing or using. I followed the installation instructions and ensured that the end of the cable labeled "FRONT" was inserted into the front/main dashcam. To make installation easier I downloaded the Android app, powered the dashcam temporarily with the 12v adapter, and watched live on my phone as I positioned the camera before touching the adhesive to the glassI also didn't have a problem finding a user manual/instructions, as the one guide that came in the package had a QR code that takes you to a web page with user manuals for all of Thinkware's products. The radar/motion detection has worked well so far.I will edit this review (if possible) to include any long term observations, and to see if this camera holds up to winter cold.
All dash cams have bad buggy phone apps. This one is one of the better of the bunchVideo is good quality
This company is a complete SCAM! Do NOT buy their products! It’s been an absolute nightmare for me since day 1!! I spent nearly 1000$ on the u3000 back in September 2024. Right out of the box I had SO many issue, not one part of the unit worked as promised. The entire dash cam was completely useless. I mean it wouldn’t record, wouldn’t work for any of the live monitoring, like literally useless. I initially thought it was me so I called Thinkware to get some help setting it up. I spent hours upon hours on the phone with them trying to troubleshoot it, in the end they also couldn’t tell me what was wrong with it and couldn’t get it set up. After some back and fourth (and over 3 months time) they finally agreed to exchange the unit. I wish this is where this nightmare ended, but it’s not. I wait a couple weeks finally got my new camera went to hook it up and yet again had the exact same issue. Got back on the phone with Thinkware spent another 6 plus hours trying to troubleshoot it with them, and again at the end of it all they could not get it set up or tell me what was wrong with it. They then stated they were escalating it to their “level 2 team” and to give them a week and they would have the level 2 team call me. I waited and waited. I got a call from them about 10 days later. The guy on the phone did 0 troubleshooting with me. Asked me to confirm the issue, I did. He then said ok I’ll be in touch. This was January 17,2025. Nearly 4 full months after buying this unit. Here we are now at February 7, 2025. I have been emailing them and getting no response. I have asked multiple times to refund me my money as the unit had not worked since the day I bought it. They continue to ignore my request. Here I am now with a 900$ paper weight and no farther ahead then I was the day I bought it. Do yourself a huge favor and stay away from any products made from this company!!
Great Camera system, the QR code wouldn't recognise the unit, neither would the serial number manually punched. Eventually got it working after using the MAC address. That wasn't listed for the U3000 unit but it was the only way to activate it in the app (for this unit).

Quality and easy hookup. I have this company in all my cars. Easy hook up and quality. Worth the $
Great Dash Cam. Very nice dash cam. Self installation was easy with the ODB2 cable (sold separately). The cam is very small and fits nicely behind the rear view mirror on my Silverado (can't see it from the drivers side).I upgraded the memory card to a Samsung V30 256GB card for extra storage. I'd also recommend a MicroSD to Type C card reader so you can view videos on the go (directly on your phone).
