The Windows 10/11 lock screen offers limited customization options. We can set our own picture as the lock screen background or let Windows 10/11 set Bing curated picture as the lock screen background.

Since the lock screen is one of the first screens we see upon turning on our PCs, you might be interested in configuring Windows 10/11 to display weather information right on the lock screen.

The best part is that there is a built-in provision in Windows 10/11 to show the weather on the lock screen, which means that you do not need third-party software for the job.

This guide shows you how to display weather information on the Windows 10/11 lock screen.

And, if you wish to set a default location, please type the name of your place so that the Weather app can fetch the information and show the weather information for this place on the lock screen.

Once done, you may close the Weather app.

Step 5: Finally, open the Start menu, right-click on the user profile picture, and then click the Lock option to lock your Windows 10/11 PC and see the lock screen.  You can also use Windows logo + L hotkey to quickly go to the lock screen.

The Windows 11 lock screen should now display the weather information at the bottom of the screen. Please note that the Lock screen might take about two seconds to show the weather information.
