AnatOnMe is a projection-enabled mobile device designed to improve patient-doctor communication in a medical setting. It projects under-the-skin anatomical images onto the body surface, therby allowing Doctors and patients to actually see the nature of their injuries.
In simple words, if you have a, say bone injury in your upper thigh, the device will project the actual image of the bone and surrounding tissue on to the skin. This will give you an idea of how the injury actually looks.

This project comes to you from The Computational User Experiences (CUE) group, at Microsoft Research. It applies signal processing, machine learning, and other computational techniques to improve the state of the art in physiological computing, healthcare, computer-assisted creativity, and entertainment.
