How to Add an Outlook.com Email Address to Mac Mail

If you use an Outlook.com email address, you may be interested in setting it up for use on the Mail app for Mac.

Adding an @outlook.com email address for use on the Mac is a fairly simple process, similar to adding other new email accounts to Mail on Mac

How to Add @outlook.com Email Address to Mail on Mac

1. Open the “Mail” app on Mac
2. Pull down the “Mail” menu and choose “Add Account”



3. Select “Other Mail Account…” then click Continue



4. Enter the name associated with the account, the @outlook.com email address, and the password, then click “Sign In” to add the email account to Mail

That should be all there is to it, your @outlook.com email address is ready to use on the Mac.

Again, the Mail app on Mac should detect this information automatically and not require those details, but if you do need to put in manual information for whatever reason it can be helpful to have it readily available.
