Take summer reading to a new level with four months of Kindle Unlimited for only $4.99—87% of the regular monthly cost. Or get it free for three months if you buy a new Kindle ereader.

4 Months of Kindle Unlimited for $4.99

Prime members can join Amazon’s subscription service for unlimited access to more than 2 million digital titles, from classic ebooks to audiobook series to magazine collections. Kindle Unlimited (not to be confused with the more limited Prime Reading that’s included with Prime) usually includes a 30-day free trial before the $9.99-per-month fee kicks in. But this deal gives you four months of access for just $4.99.

You don’t need to be a Prime member to purchase a Kindle and get three months free, but Prime members can snag discounts on Amazon’s lineup of ereaders today.

The latest low-cost Kindle improves night reading with its front light, but the slightly more expensive Paperwhite offers better overall value for most readers. Whichever one you choose, they’re both on sale for Prime Day. Right now, the basic Kindle is just $44.99, or 50% off. The Paperwhite comes in at $94.99, or a 32% discount.

Once these trials end, you’ll automatically be billed $9.99 per month unless you cancel.

The service launched in 2014 with best sellers, exclusive stories, and novella-length Kindle Singles, available to Unlimited users alongside features like Whispersync, Popular Highlights, X-Ray, customer reviews, and Goodreads integration.

In the years since, Amazon has updated its library, offering everything from arts and photography to travel. You’ll find thousands of classics, including Animal Farm, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and Cat’s Cradle, plus books featuring beloved childrens’ characters, reference titles from the For Dummies series, and Lonely Planet travel guides.

And, for those long car rides or bedtime lullabies, choose from more than 2,000 Audible audiobooks, and listen to favorites like Where the Crawdads Sing, The Summer I Turned Pretty, Lessons in Chemistry, and Hamnet.

Prime members already get unlimited access to a rotating catalog of ebooks and audiobooks, one free pre-release book every month, and access to select magazines and comic books. But you can expand your reading horizons with Kindle Unlimited, now on sale for $4.99 for four months—less than the regular price of one.
