The Mac OS X Application Switcher is a handy way to quickly cycle through open applications, but did you know you can quickly quit programs you aren’t using with the Application Switcher as well?
Here is how you can quit an open program via the OS X Command Tab application switcher panel:
* Enter the Application Switcher by hitting Command+Tab
* Using tab or your mouse, navigate to the application(s) you want to quit while still holding the Command key
* Press “Q” to quit the application that you are hovered over
You can repeat this trick to quit out of multiple apps or just quit out of a single OS X app as described.
This is just one of many cool tricks you can do with the Command+Tab application switcher.
