After way too long, we’re finally back in a more experimental design phase for smartphones, and Samsung is leading the way with this year’s two very cool foldables. The Flip 5 has the form factor of an ordinary phone when open, but it clasps closed into a small square that fits beautifully into a pocket while still having a bright external screen. We gave it an “Excellent” rating in our review, praising its sharp screens and “surprisingly rugged build.” It’s also definitely a conversation starter in a world full of identical iPhones.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5

The big brother of the Flip 5 is designed for power users and bigger-screen streamers. We gave it the Editors’ Choice award in our review, saying that the phone is “a foldable phone done right, with a sleeker, lighter build than previous models, loads of power, and genuinely useful continuity between its two screens.” It’s a little heavy, but if you want an impressive mobile device this is the one to go for, especially at 14% off.

Not ready to get freaky with your phone’s form factor just yet? Samsung’s got you covered. Samsung Galaxy Buds Live

The unique bean-shaped form factor of Samsung’s in-ear headphones might take a little getting used to, but they deliver some robust audio quality at a very good price. We reviewed the Galaxy Buds Live when they were released, and said that they “definitely feel less invasive than the competition.” They have a panoply of interesting features, including customizable touch controls, six different equalizer modes, Bixby wakeup alarms, and even a low-latency gaming setting. Getting them for 53% off is a hell of a deal.

The biggest upgrade the second-generation Buds made was the addition of active noise cancellation, which is a must when you’re using earbuds in the world outside. In our review, we noted the “bass-forward sound signature with bright highs” that they deliver, as well as the multiple color options and sleek, futuristic design. They fit securely in the ear and come with three pairs of silicone eartips in different sizes. Connection is through Bluetooth using either the AAC and SBC codecs, or Samsung’s proprietary Scalable codec.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5

We called the Galaxy Watch 5 “the best Android-compatible smartwatch on the market” in our review, and we stand by that Editors’ Choice award (the Watch 6 leaves something to be desired with battery life). This is an elegant and functional smartwatch with a gorgeous, bright screen and a number of quality-of-life improvements over the Galaxy Watch 4, including longer battery life and infrared body temperature sensing. There are tons of apps and face designs available, so you can customize your experience however you want.
