Good Camera. The video quality is good, not great. However, it gets the job done. The installation is easy if you’re not wiring it. However, get done by a professional so you don’t run the risk of ruining your system.
Great working camera. The media could not be loaded. Great working camera. So easy to install any videos to you phone or tablet. It does stop recording if you are previewing videos or watching live on another device. I also found out it records voice inside, you hear everything once you download and watch, it also smooths out the video when you download it. Overall a very nice front and rear camera for when one of you speeders hit me I’ll be able to prove it was not my fault.
Great cam with a few quirks. Having a dash cam in your vehicle is essential to me for any car going forward. I saw this one and thought I might as well try it out. One little quirk out of the box was there was no plastic pry tools included to help you hide the cables for the device. Seems a bit odd they couldn't at least include a small one to help you get around the plastic/rubber in your car. I luckily had an extra from a prior camera, so was ok. Install was actually painless. I decided to purchase the ODB 2 power connector with the camera to make powering it easier for when the vehicle is off and it records parking. It made it so much simpler than trying to hardwire the thing and definitely recommend it to anyone looking to make wiring easier for parking mode recordings. So far it has been great. It has a little voice that tells me when it launches itself into regular recording vs parking. It tells me how many parking events occurred so that if I need to I can connect to the cam and pull those. While it doesn't include a screen to view the footage, it makes it quite easy to remove the included MicroSD card OR use the phone app. I noticed a few reviews complain about connecting via wifi...I have not ran into this issue but can offer some advice: Make sure your phone isn't trying to connect to another wifi at the time (like wireless carplay/android auto) AND make sure to give your camera ample time to turn on the wifi (it will tell you when to connect).Just an FYI for those wondering: The camera only takes up to 128GB MicroSD cards from what I understand. It does come included with a 32GB MicroSD card, which for me works fine. When it reaches capacity it just starts overwriting old footage. The other odd quirk I had with the camera was this: While sitting in traffic for a couple minutes, the camera did switch to parking mode for some odd reason for me...I guess it detected it wasn't moving and thought maybe it was being parked. Found it quite odd. After a few seconds of moving though it went back to regular recording. A little worrisome, but have only had it happen once so far.Overall, rated it 4/5 stars because of the quirks. It isn't perfect, but does seem better than cheaper cameras for sure. Definitely still recommend for anyone looking for a decently priced camera.
Works great! No distraction from screen. I have had several dashcams in my truck now and I have found that the screen inside the car can be distracting at night and is not useful outside of configuration (that is usually not very intuitive onscreen anyway); this dashcam is small and discreet, and has no bright light in the cabin at night. The picture quality is pretty good, and the 'Pro' kit included the hardwire and plug in adapter. Overall, I am quite happy with this dashcam. My only complaint is that the GPS antenna was not included and had to be purchased separately.
iPhone and WiFi NO. I was very disappointed in my hours long inability to connect my iPhone 13 to this dash cam. If you can’t do live view to at least make sure you’re able to mount it properly what’s the point. I reviewed thinkwares numerous apps for my specific dash cam and watch set up videos and stil to no avail. Can’t recommend
24 Month Update. 24 month update:Still going strong; both cameras and the heavy duty micro SD card. Good visuals and audio of constant recording. If you use the car diagnostic plug for power source make sure to check the camera connection after taking your car to the repair shop. Sometimes those guys don’t put the plug back in and you’ll lose power to the camera. Just make sure to check the plug is inserted properly for constant power./////////////:::///:::::;;;;;;;;;;;;))))))))))I had the Pro 200 for two years along with the Extreme micro SD card. It has performed flawlessly- both front and back rear cameras. I attribute the performance due to the commercial upgrade SD card.It has been in my windshield in FL, SC, NC, and VA in direct sunlight. What’s more, in the summertime I install a silver heat reflecting screen to reduce interior heat. The camera is trapped between the screen and the windshield in direct sunlight. It must be over at least 120 deg F.IF, and I’d there’s a suggestion (like all card readable tools) the Thinkware software can stand some improvement. But as an engineer my theory is that SW is never FOC. It’s always IOC, always overly expensive, and labor intensive. Just run with it.If you’d looking for a solid dual cam setup this is the one.BTW, I did buy the external power cord plug that fits into the diagnostic car system. The fuse box connection made me Squamish on car warranty should an electric problem arise.Good luck
Best dash camera. I bought this camera not expecting a lot as I have had some terrible experience with other cameras but the thinkware surpassed every expectation. I also got the gps sensor and the OBD2 power plug. The camera was easy to install, setup and use (powers on and off with the ignition). Video quality is amazing. With the app and wifi connection it is super easy to view and download videos.I have an M1 sports camera by thinkware and found customer service to be out of this world.I highly recommend this camera to everyone!!!
The camera works well. Very wide angle. I was able to connect it so recording continues when parked. Quite easy to install (I'm not a professional). What I don't like is you can't review the footage unless you are sitting in the car connected to the camera's WiFi. The app does not connect using any other WiFi
The picture for this product is very misleading as it shows a picture of the gps adapter included. However if you read the ad details (which I should have before purchasing) you will see that it's not included like it is in some of thinkware other bundles. This is ok. I take the hit for that one, I should have read the ad, but I still feel like the main picture should not have the gps adapter in it if it's not included in this bundle.Thinkware otherwise is a great reliable dash cam if you are looking to purchase one.
Easy to install.
I recently purchased this dash cam and have been quite disappointed with its performance. The recording quality is subpar, with footage appearing blurry and unclear. Even in well-lit conditions, the video lacks sharpness and detail, making it difficult to discern important features such as license plates or road signs. I expected much better clarity for the price. Overall, I would not recommend this dash cam if high-quality recording is a priority
The video quality is impeccable. It is a bit irritating that the CarPlay has to be disabled every time you want to connect to an IPhone. The picture is a little misleading as it shows a GPS that is not included in the package.

Great item as advertised. Delivery was great to my Apt Front door - This is the second Thinkware Dashcam I have purchased - I`m replacing one older unit that the rear Cam does not work anymore - Lasted for Many years - could have it repaired but decided to upgrade to a newer model - R. Stewart
Awesome dashcam. The media could not be loaded. Great camera. High quality and very well made. This is the camera that Ford sells directly from their accessories. That being said this is OEM quality nice picture and works great. Has a great PC viewer app (in my video) that you can watch both front and rear camera at the same time as well as an app for iPhone or android to control camera settings and watch video. Very easy to install and looks functional and professional. Comes with a hard wiring kit with plenty of wire as well as cigarette lighter plug and GPS for speed and location. Awesome value for the money. I recommend this product.
Live view doesn’t work, app lags, sounds are annoying. While the dash cam seems to otherwise work and connect with the app, doing anything in the app is SLOW and the live view option simply doesn’t work. Cam also makes a lot of unnecessary noise that isn’t a huge deal, but personally I find annoying. It talks when the car turns on, beeps randomly but often.Could be worse at the price point, I guess, but it could be better too. I miss my old dash cam.
Nice dashcam, but app dependent. I ordered this, needing a new dashcam for my mom's car. This dashcam is a solid choice for anyone seeking reliable, high-quality footage. The image clarity is exceptional, capturing even the smallest details in various lighting conditions. Its feature set is impressive, offering a range of customization options to suit different driving styles and preferences. The inclusion of GPS is a definite plus, providing accurate speed and location data. Its easy enough for my mom to use as well. While the dashcam's construction and mounting options are top-notch, its power connector proved to be a minor inconvenience. The lack of a standard USB connection required additional wiring, which added unnecessary complexity to the installation process. Additionally, relying on an app for certain functions might be frustrating for those who prefer a standalone device.Overall, this dashcam offers excellent performance and a robust feature set. If you can overlook the power connector and app dependency, it's a worthwhile investment for peace of mind on the road.
Missing seconds when manual recording. There is a few seconds of recording missing when you press manual recording. Vital seconds. Also, the unit runs very hot. Even when it is not hot in the vehicle. Except it to last no more than a year before it craps out. On my third one.It is still the best dash cam I have found at a reasonable price.
works great. works great
This is my 3rd set. This is my 3rd set, for the cars of my kids, cheap and reliable, Thinkware is being in my family for years!
App issues. Not happy with how slow it is when looking at recordings through the app.

User reviews
Great Cam and a Great Price! Packed with features. We purchased the F7N Redtiger camera about 18 months ago and it has now paid for itself 100x over when it provided evidence to the police and insurance that my wife was not the one at fault in an accident that totaled her vehicle and the other party lied to the police. My wife was going to get the ticket after the officer talked to the other party first, but she was able to show the officer the cam video and they reversed course and issued the ticket to the other party. Then the other party lied to their insurance, but after providing the video to their insurance, the adjuster immediately accepted 100% responsibility.Easy to install and with clearly written English instructions. Great suction cup with integrated GPS antenna makes installation a breeze. Cam will slide off mount if you want to hide it while parked without removing the entire mount. Crystal clear video, front at 4k and back at 2k, produce high resolution video where you can read license plates and even identify who was driving another vehicle.Even more importantly, it has a good app that you can use to directly download video from the cam without pulling the card and taking it to a computer. Just in case you are in an accident, you can instantly download the relevant video to your phone and show to Law Enforcement and e-mail to your insurance company. This is hugely important so a ticket can be issued to the at-fault party on scene as my wife did. If you can't show the officer when writing the report, they may issue the ticket to the wrong party or no one if they can't figure out who was at fault. If this happens, it's a long up-hill battle to get the other party's insurance to pay out and the police will never cancel an incorrectly issued ticket, so it forces you to go to court to defend yourself. If you are in a serious accident (if anyone goes to the hospital, it's serious), the officer may confiscate the SD card or even the whole camera for evidence. You may not get it back for weeks or even months. Sometimes they get lost an then you have nothing. Have a copy safely on your phone so you can give it to your insurance company and lawyer immediately!Buy the REDTIGER F7N Dash Cam Hardwire Kit to go with it if you want 24/7 monitoring without killing your car battery. Never wonder who backed into you in a parking lot or keyed your car if it happens to you. Some things that set Redtiger apart from the others:They actually have tech support. We had an issue with one camera not liking our SD card and contacted support to see if we had a bum Cam or bad setting as the issue was intermittent. Turns out it was just a faulty card after running a write test on the computer. Not a big issue as SD cards are cheap, but good to know that if you have an issue that Redtiger does support what they sell.Software updates. We've owned the F7N for about 18 months and have received software updates to improve functionality. The cam was great when we got it and even better now with new features added.Proof in the pudding:We liked our F7N so much we just bought another Redtiger cam, a F7N Touch, for a new (to us) vehicle and it's great too.Note: I wasn't paid for this review nor given a demo unit or anything else. I'm only a satisfied customer that is enjoying the premium quality and features at a great price vs the big-name competitors and their high prices.
Great Support Staff. This is my first dash cam, so other than reading reviews, I new very little. It's been my experience that the accompanying instruction manuals are often of little help, although this one was slightly better. I also turned to youtube but even they, left things out, that I wanted to know. How do you turn the unit on and off, how do you pause a recording, why are there only four buttons and so many icons and how am I supposed to remember how to use the same button for a variety of functions? There was a phone number in the manual, so I figured I'd better call it in hopes of reducing my frustrations. They were extremely accommodating and ran me though a one on one, step by step, assistance.I also kept trying to use this cam as a touch screen, since after all, every phone these days has this feature. It was explained to me that there was a touch screen but that I had ordered a model without. Believe it, or not, they helped me out with that and I now have a Touch model, F7NT.I gave this five stars because this company is amazing and the cameras are superb. I therefore did not detract a star because I am convinced that they will listen closely, make a few changes and then they will have the best possible cams.Negatives: Too many icons on the cam video screen. The icons are too small and virtually useless because they are on your windshield, which is difficult to reach. All this does is create confusion.Sometimes the cam wants you to turn off wi-fi to access features, which is ridiculous. Wi-Fi should always be on whenever the phone is nearby and it should record to your phone so that you can access all features as you like on your phone. The small screen on the cam is virtually useless.Playback choices should not be visible on the cam. Remove as many icons as possible and apply them only after video is downloaded to your phone or to a computer.Negatives: Downloading to a phone is nearly impossible or at the very least, far too tedious.Solution: Remove the SD card from the cam, utilize a thumb drive for the SD card and view your video on your laptop or PC. There is a Redtiger Player available that you can and should download that contains all of the functions for playback of this cam.Negatives: When playing back the video the informational text for things like time stamp, GPS, etc. shows up at the bottom of the screen, which can sometimes make it hard to read, since it's also very small.Solution: Place the informational text at the top of the screen, which generally is viewing SKY, and make it larger since this area is not of importance in any way.Negatives: There is a time setting where when files are created, you must choose - 1 minute, 3 minutes or 5 minutes. Thereby after downloading files you can select from a bunch of files, presumably to facilitate finding the file you wanted. Still tedious indeed.Solution: As the cam is recording, allow the recording to directly access and download to your phone without interruption. Perhaps have a 1 hour period and then over write to withhold no more than one hour on your phone. If there has been an occurrence you can simply SAVE the file. To view it you could easily see it on your phone or you could send it to your big screen tv. The SD card would merely become a backup for emergency situations.Bottom Line: The suggestions above are really about User Friendliness. If anything, I believe that they have attempted to input too many features. I'm recommending simplifying the process with slightly different thinking. I also recommend buying the Touch model, as without it, it's somewhat awkward to use. The picture quality is great, front and back and the service is excellent. You get what you pay for.The method of operation and the thought pattern for usage should be that you view your video on a laptop, or pc, on the Player app that is provided. In short, the cam records, the app provides viewing via computer. I really like the app since it provides both front and rear at the same time, plus you can zoom the view and even choose only front or only back as you like. All info is visible like GPS, a google may of travel, speed of travel, date and time. This app is a very important part of the operation. Still it could use a bit of tweaking. Overall, I love this thing. I can't imagine what it would have been like to have this in the early 80s when I was a private investigator.
I recently upgraded my car's safety features with the REDTIGER Dash Cam Front Rear, 4K/2.5K Full HD Dash Camera, and it has been one of the best decisions I've made.Performance & Quality: The first thing that impressed me was the stunning video quality. The front camera records in crisp 4K, capturing even the tiniest details on the road. The rear camera isn't far behind with clear 2.5K footage, ensuring comprehensive coverage around my vehicle. Night driving has also become less worrisome thanks to its superior night vision capabilities.User-Friendly Experience: Setting up the dash cam was a breeze. The instructions were straightforward, and the intuitive interface made navigating through settings and playback effortless. The included 32GB card was a nice touch, saving me an extra purchase and allowing me to use the device right out of the box.Exceptional Customer Support: What truly sets REDTIGER apart is their phenomenal customer service. I encountered a minor hiccup with the power adapter shortly after installation. Not only did their support team respond promptly, but they also went above and beyond to resolve the issue swiftly. They provided clear instructions, answered all my questions with patience, and shipped a replacement immediately. Their dedication to customer satisfaction is truly commendable.Final Thoughts: In a market saturated with dash cams, the REDTIGER Dash Cam stands out not just for its top-notch features but also for the company's commitment to its customers. The combination of high-quality recording, ease of use, and stellar support makes this a must-have for any driver. If you're on the fence about which dash cam to choose, do yourself a favor and pick REDTIGER. You won't be disappointed!
Venditore super gentile e disponibile. Rispondere e aiuta per ogni problema.
Absolutely amazing front and rear dash cameras, worth every penny. The picture quality is clear, the wide angle gives a more clear picture. Easy to install and use. Easy to link the camera to the phone app and easy to access the dash cam footage and download when the dash camera is on.I bought the hard wire kit from the same company to use with this Dash Camera - I highly recommend to do this with your purchase as it was easy to use and install.
Absolute Kaufempfehlung!

Great Dash Cam for Everyday Use. This dash cam has been a solid addition to my car. The video quality is clear and reliable, both during the day and at night. It captures everything you need with its wide-angle lens and handles low-light conditions really well.Setup was quick and easy, and it doesn't get in the way while driving. The loop recording feature is great, so I never have to worry about managing storage, and the G-sensor ensures important moments are saved.Overall, it's a dependable dash cam that's simple to use and perfect for everyday driving. Highly recommend!
It’s clunky at first. I had an auto store install it for me. It’s a little clunky at first to use it. Make sure you download the app. The app is not user-friendly. And you have to disc from the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth on your car in order to get onto the camera. But after a little bit of learning curve, it turns out it’s pretty good. The image and quality of the pictures is relatively impressive.
Much improved from previous models/app. I have an older Thinkware dash cam and decided to give them another try. The camera was always solid, but the app was a joke. Not a huge deal because I just took the card out and manually grabbed files when I wanted them. This version with their new app is much better, but still not an amazing app. Everything works as expected, video access is simple, and the video quality is still good. Just isn't very intuitive what they set in the options. It has an included rear camera as well which I didn't have before, perfect to run to the back of a crew cab truck rear window. I'd get this model again just for the video quality and video that records every time without thinking about it. Never had to use it for anything major yet, but I've looked at a few crazy drivers on playback, got everything I wanted to see.
My Honest Review. [Updated on 10/12/24]Customer service finally gave me an answer (after about 3 months I submitted my initial complaint). They told me to turn off night vision, and they had no other solution. But I’ve already turned it off, and I still could not record license plates at night. What is the point of advertising “super night vision” if you’re saying not to use it? Basically, this is a product that they cannot fix.—————————————[My Original Review]I have tried many dashcams through the years. I have tried from $50 entry dashcams to the more expensive Starvis 2 sensor ones. I was not happy with the cheaper ones due to poor image quality. The ones with the latest Sony’s image sensor were a little better, but they did not justify the high pricetag. Also, the great reviews online about their capability to capture license plates at night — I learned you should take those with a grain of salt. Then I decided to go another direction. I decided to give the Arc, which is Thinkware’s new mid-level product, a try. Here are some things I have found after using this product extensively over the past 4 months.Pros:1. Good daytime images for front AND rear cameras.2. Reliable motion detection and impact recording with trademark beep sound3. Energy saving parking mode4. Useful ADAS feature which alerts you when signal turns green or the car ahead of you is leaving. Also warns you of red light cameras. I love this feature. It is somewhat accurate and immediately gives notifications.5. Nice blinking LED security light in motion parking mode.(you can also turn it off)6. Connects to your phone via WIFI so you can view recordings or change settings.7. Rear camera image quality during the day is as good as the front.8. Comes with a hardwire kit9. Sensitive sensors (you can adjust the sensitivity) — assures even minor impacts will be detected10. Beautiful designCons:1. The touch screen won’t respond many times2. The rear camera orientation won’t reverse in the app so you need to install it correctly the first time3. This could be a deal-breaker: Night recording tends to be blurry or over-exposed, making it almost impossible to read any license plates at night. The rear camera is even worse.4. Volume (female system voice) is annoyingly loud even on the lowest setting.5. Need to turn carplay off to connect to phone.6. The dashcam body consistently remains very hot when it is on, even during parking mode. I am worried if the circuits will withstand the heat longterm.7. Thinkware’s dashcam viewer app for Mac has issues. Also, it is recorded in km per hour, not mph even when you adjust the settings.8. Battery low warning comes on my car after 1 or 2 days continuously parked in parking mode.9. No option to turn on security LED lights during energy saving parking mode. Also, no LED light function at all on the rear camera.10. Terrible customer support. It’s been 2-3 months since I asked them for help because night recording are so blurry, but all they did was keep asking me to send sample recordings to them. I responded to all their requests and sent many footages, but they suddenly stopped responding to me. They are not responding to me at all after having me send so many of my recordings. I have not seen such disrespect from any company. Looked like they wanted to keep me only until the return period ended. This dashcam’s night time image quality is very poor and has serious issues. It’s basically night and day (no pun intended). I would not recommend this dashcam if you drive at night or want to use parking mode at night since license plate recognition is so poor that it is inlikely to capture any license plate numbers in an accident. Your headlights will over-expose any license plates in front and any darkness will blur it out — nothing in between. What’s the point of having a dashcam when it can’t read a license plate 3 feet in front of you? I have tested other cheaper dashcams and they had better night recordings than this. There are features like the ADAS feature which alerts you when the signal turns green. Or security blinking LED lights which many other brands don’t have. But there are too many cons. It was even frustrating just to set the time correctly since the Arc dashcam uses some weird time zone system. Overall, the Arc dashcam kind of feels like it’s unpolished which is why I regret buying this dashcam. I have lost all credibility in Thinkware. I have reached out to Thinkware and asked for assistance on these issues, and they still haven’t provided any real solution yet for 2 months now. They kept telling me “rest assured we will support you.” But as soon as my return window closed, they stopped replying. I was hoping Thinkware’s engineers would develop a firmware or software update to improve all or any of these issues I’ve mentioned above. But, now I don’t expect it will ever happen. I feel I’ve been tricked to keep this product and not be able to return it since the deadline passed. My Final verdict: I do not recommend this product or the brand.
Amazing quality, Easy setup. I bought this Thinkware ARC dash cam on Prime Big Deals Day. I'm really impressed. Video quality is crystal clear. The wide angle view captures so much of the road. Installation was a breeze!
needs better method to connect. Only been using for about 1 month. I have owned a different camera from this maker. Enjoy the utility of both styles. The negative part of this Arc style is connecting my phone to it. The wifi system is rather clunky to get things to connect. The only method I've found is using the QR code which can be frustrating to get your cell camera to focus on the tiny sized QR code on the mini screen. The older style camera I had, would allow you to search for a wifi broadcasted ID, which doesn't seem to exist for the Arc camera.
parking mode stop when temperature inside car gets to 140F. - Parking mode stop and dashcam shutdown completely when outside temp is 80F to 90F, inside car is up to 144 F. If you need parking mode in hot climate, this won't work.- Touch screen is not responsive even after calibrated.- GPS info of recorded videos take forever to read/load. (It has never completed the loading whenever I check the videos on my computer.)Other than the above issues, everything is great: - easy to install, include hardwire setup- Recorded videos are put in separate folder depend on type: continuous, continuous incident, parking, parking incident, saved file. They are very easy to search on the dashcam or phone or put the micro sd card on computer.-Video quality is good.- Sensitivity of motion detection, G sensor is adjustable, it works for my purpose when the temperature is cool (like below 80F outside)-Traffic lights and front car departure detection work fine.
Thinkware ARC Dash Cam - well-designed and compact dashcam. This well-designed and compact dashcam features an interactive touch screen with no lag. It includes a free SD card and excels at recording in 2K. Downloading footage using the mobile app is straightforward. I highly recommend this dashcam to anyone in need of reliable and high-quality recording on the road.
I decided to get this dash cam after my friend was in an accident because I wanted it to help me with any insurance claims in the future. The video quality is great, I love the sleek design and the LCD touchscreen was intuitive and responsive, making it easy to use.The camera was simple to install after reading the instructions and watching videos online. The most time consuming part is hiding the wires. At first, I found connecting to the WiFi to be difficult, but after re-reading the instructions on how to connect, I realized that I was scanning the QR code incorrectly. At first, I was scanning the QR code with my camera, but you are suppose to scan the QR code in the mobile app. After realizing that, it was simple to connect to the settings and WiFi to view my videos. While the price is a little higher than other dash cams I was looking at, it is worth it due to the diverse built-in safety and smart driving alerts and the peace of mind it provides me while I’m driving. I highly recommend it!
happy with the purchase so far, nice amount of options.
I've done a lot of research, I wanted a solid dash cam that didn't break the bank. This is the best bundle I've seen as you get pretty much everything you need to install it. It's good quality and I'm sure it will last a long time. The picture quality is perfect, especially at night.
Installed a 2023 CX-50. Dash cam looks great and operates very well. Video quality is decent and Parking mode works great. Happy with my purchase.
Small but works well, Good video quality with 2K resolution, Easy to install, Straightforward with the LCD screen.

Impressive camera with fantastic documentation and features. Never write reviews, but I had to say - this camera has been a very pleasant experience.QualityThe video quality is crisp and clear. There is an option to record in H.265 compression mode for better quality and smaller file size.In terms of packaging and materials - the camera came extremely well packaged. Manuals, reference guides and quality materials make up the camera. The addition of the electrostatic film to avoid glue residue on the windshield is a nice touch! I’ve had other brands of dashcams in the past and would have loved to have had that option.InstallationHuge kudos to whomever wrote the user manual. It was very detailed, with well written instructions and clear photos. I was able to install the dashcam and the hardwire kit (sold separately) by following the instructions and never felt lost. Finding the right fuses to tap into took longer than the setup of the hardwire kit itself. So that’s high praise for the system and add-ons they offer!FeaturesGreat setting options for video recording, g-sensor sensitivity, parking mode options and connectivity (wifi). Downloading videos on the 5g WiFi was FAST! A key feature since the 4k video files do take up space. The downloaded files were easy to pull off the card and straight onto my phone. There’s definitely more to say, but in short - the camera delivered on the quality promised and I think the team behind it went above and beyond with the feature set and documentation, all for a great price.(Also - the note in the manual about getting hit twice and the camera being able to record it both times was a good laugh out loud moment) Thanks Rove!
Convenient - amazing video. Drivers unwilling to take responsibility for damaging my vehicle resulted in my paying over $1500 for repairs. I decided to get a dashcam that would record such accidents when I wasn't present, so having a "parking mode" was important to me. After reviewing a lot of products and user experiences, I decided on the Rove R2-4K. I also purchased the hardwire kit so the "parking mode" would work, and far, I've been impressed with the very high quality of the videos, which optionally include audio. Instructions were simple and straight-forward (and grammatically correct). I found several online videos relevant to installing the hardwire add-on, and they were helpful. Although it wasn't a huge problem, they helped me with hiding the cables were hidden. The more complex issue was running the cable behind the dash panels and into the fuse box. Both the instructions and the online videos simplified that process. The front and rear cameras work well and each offers a wide-range view. I view this product as a worthwhile investment and recommend it highly.
Decent dash cam. Image quality I would say is decent, but still not on par with the action cameras around the same price point. What works is being able to lock videos and having a slight overlap of one saved video to the next so there is no missing second while it starts a new file. With the hardwire kit installed, a very clean and tidy installation is quite possible. The polarizer makes a huge difference to get rid of windshield glare, but need to set exposure a little brighter to make up for it.Over all I am pleased with the purchase, even if it was a bit more pricey than I had planned to spend to capture the crazy drivers around these parts.A few nitpicks below.Wi-Fi connection sometimes fails, but not often enough to complain about. The screen is bright enough, but can't be seen with polarized sunglasses on. If you have the screen saver on, it takes two button presses to get it to lock video. No way to mirror the video of rear camera. The voice assistance is annoying but at least it can be turned off. If you have parking mode enabled and you plug in USB to transfer videos to PC, it only turns on in parking mode and will power off in a minute, even if USB transfer is selected. All but the polarized glasses concerns could likely be addressed with a firmware update if they care to do so.
Great dash cam for the price. 9/18/24 Rove R2-4K Dual . This dash cam works extremely well. Very easy to install with excellent instructions on how to .I’ll purchase another for my truck this week. Thanks Rove 👍🏻👍🏻9/26/24 just installed my second Rove dash cam R2-4K . What a great device. Easy to install and set up .Rove has everything spelled out for you on how to set up to recording video. They even tell you to watch YouTube videos on setups , installing and helpful tips. They even have QR codes for help . They answer fast and friendly and know their product from top to bottom. Oh, and did I mention the cost ???? Where are you going to get a High Quality, High Performance Dash Cam for under $100 .Trust me , Rove Dash Cams have a great product at a very good price . 👍🏻👍🏻
Camera works great and plenty of features. I've owned many cameras and this one is the best. it takes great videos and is easy to operate. The 5g wifi is so much faster than the old 2.4g. I installed it in a 2014 Explorer and there was more than enough cable length available. The hardwired kit was nice but since it didn't come with a 90 degree plug, it made for an ugly wire sticking out the side of the camera. Overall I am very pleased with the system.
Nice value for a front and rear camera dash cam. I've been using this for about a month and so far so good. I've been purchasing Rexing dash cams for all of my other vehicles but this Rove was a great deal for a front and rear camera dash cam. The Rexing cams have a more sleek and integrated looking mount than Rove but that's not a deal breaker. Installation and setup was easy. I used the Dongar Dashcam Power Adapter to power the camera directly from the auto dimming rear view mirror in my 2024 F150. Simple and easy power supply. The dashcam turns on and off automatically when I start and turn off the truck. This dashcam looks and feels well made. The display is bright and colorful and the image is crisp. Recorded images are clear. I didn't download the app, preferring to just insert the SD card into my laptop. Overall I am pleased with this unit and would purchase another if needed.

Replaced faulty camera quickly. Ordered 2, more ne would not connect. Requested exact replacement which came in quickly. Clean images/video, simple app, and great quality especially for the price. Includes a 32gb SD microcard for recording. Videos Can be downloaded from app into phone. Would buy again.
Good Camera with only a couple of complaints. I purchased this dash cam to replace an older larger cam that was starting to have issues. The image quality is good as I expected. I like the small size. My old camera had a display, and was much larger and heavier. I rarely used the display as it was too small to read unless you got very close to it. The Thinkware camera has an app were you can change camera settings, and review/download recorded videos. So really no display is needed.Once concern I have is how well the adhesive tape will hold out. My old dash cam was a suction mount, and those things never stay stuck on the windshield, especially in the hot Texas summer sun. My old dash came had a rear camera that stuck to the back window with adhesive tape. I am surprised that it has not failed in the 3 or 4 years it has been stuck there. The Thinkware camera is light, like the rear camera on my previous dash cam, and the adhesive appears to be strong. So I have a lot of confidence that the Thinkware is not going to lose adhesion, and fall off. But the real test will be the summer heat.Things that could be improved. Downloading recorded videos in the Android app is not intuitive. I figured out how to download a video, but I discovered "download" did not mean what I thought it meant. When you download a video, it saves to the Thinkware cloud, not onto your phone. You can then go to the cloud folder in the app, and download the video to your phone. The thing is the product manual doesn't even address how to download a video. I figured out how to download (to the cloud) a video by playing with the app. But to my surprise I couldn't find it on my phone. I then Googled how to download the file from the app. I didn't find anything for the F70 Pro, but learned of a second Andorid APP to access the cloud to download videos. However, after installing that app, I learned it would not work with the F70 Pro, but was for different models. But, I then figured out how to access the cloud folder in the first Thinkware app that I started with.Don't hold down the wifi button too long, it will format the SD card. I found that out the hard way, and erased my SD card. That's another thing the manual doesn't tell you. But it's good to know that is a quick way to format the memory card.Speaking of wifi, sometimes the phone will disconnect from the camera wifi. Holding the phone a little closer to the camera seemed to help with that. The impact sensor is too sensitive for me. Even having it set to the highest setting (lowest sensitivity) it triggered a lot just driving too and from work. I mean some of the roads here can be a little bumpy, but it would trigger 20 times a day just driving to and from work. That's 20 videos on the memory card that are protected from being overwritten, and are taking up space. I am not sure how many videos my 64MB SD card can hold, but having 100+ protected videos each week would be significantly reducing the available storage space, and would eventually get to the point where no more videos could be saved. In reality I don't see a lot of benefit to the impact sensor. Since the camera continuously records it is going to catch everything on video anyway, whether you have an impact or not. The only benefits are it automatically protects the video, and if you are set up for parking mode, I am guessing the impact sensor would be useful.Overall this is a good camera once you get around the couple of quirks.
Keeps beeping intermittently. Worked good for a couple of days. Then it started beeping randomly in the middle of driving and when the car is parked. Feels like it realizes there is an event however there is nothing happening around it and the car is parked.
Good. Cam. Ease to use clear and effective.
Works great. Easy to install. Great video. Easy to operate.
Camera works, Thinkware does not. The camera itself works fine for an economy solution. However, it refused to stay powered by Thinkware's own OBDII adapter (on a supported vehicle) and their email staff was pointless - sending only partial troubleshooting steps, ignoring the majority of my detailed responses and then having the gall to email me twice, saying they hadn't heard back from me after they last told me to stand by for instructions. This isn't my first Thinkware purchase, but will probably be my last. At the very least, if you need an OBDII connector for this, grab an IROAD model - it's a bit more expensive, but has more options and actually works. If you end up needing support with a Thinkware purchase, I'd suggest just returning the thing and saving yourself weeks of hassle with no result.
Update the firmware if you have Bluetooth connection problems. This is my first dashcam, it was affordable, and I really like the security of having it on the front of my vehicle. However, this model had trouble connecting to the Thinkware app on my Android phone through Bluetooth.Rebooting the dashcam, etc., didn't fix the situation. The solution was to download and install the latest "firmware" update onto the dashcam's microSD card, which I just finished doing. You can download firmware updates for this model here: thinkwarestore.com/files/f70-pro/I followed the 6-step instructions on that page, and the dashcam and my phone app then synced perfectly.Downloading and copying the new firmware files to the microSD card isn't terribly difficult, but it requires a little computer knowledge. Following is an overview of the update process. If you don't know a lot about computers/SD cards, I'd suggest finding someone good with them who can help you out.---In advance you'll need to buy a small USB/microSD adapter (if you don't already have one) that lets you physically connect the microSD card to your PC. After downloading the firmware ZIP file, extract the files from it to any convenient folder on your computer.Pop the microSD card out of the dashcam, insert it in your USB/microSD reader, and insert the reader into a USB port on your computer. Next open the microSD in a file window on your PC, copy any of the old dashcam recordings you want to preserve from the microSD to somewhere else on your computer, then reformat the microSD (right-click Reformat on Windows).Next copy the two ZIP-unextracted firmware files that came out of the ZIP file to the microSD. Pop the microSD back into the dashcam and wait for the auto-installation to finish (see the instructions on the Thinkware site for specifics).Again, if this sounds too much like geek speak or if you get stuck, maybe ask a friend who's a little bit handy with computers to help you through the process. It really is straightforward.
Safety. I think having a dash cam is very important, especially when you live in a DC. Area. If you're on a budget, this one is a smart choice
Facile da montare e qualità dell’immagine ottima
Product finishing quality is high and you feel it as soon as you get it out of the box.Camera is compact and installation was easy.Connects to the app smoothly and file transfer is fast.Video quality is good for the price , nothing fancy but will do the job
I’ve been using the Thinkware F70 Pro dash cam for a few weeks, and it’s been a solid performer. The compact design makes it easy to install without cluttering up my windshield. Setup was straightforward, and connecting to the Dash Cam Link mobile app was seamless. I was able to view and download the footage right off my phone, super convenient.

Really solid dashcam setup. Overall, this is a great dashcam. Video quality is amazing, feels heavy and well-built, and just works. I didn't think I would need a rear camera (because I don't have one with the dashcam in my other car), but now I kinda wish I did. It is really nice to have the extra camera for what's going on behind you. Install was easy and clean, and came with all parts and tools to make it look professional, without any wires hanging out.Pros:- Super clear video, both night and day. Can zoom in on anything in the video up to 5x to help see details (like license plate numbers)- Wifi capability to give a bigger screen to see video (phone/tablet), or to more easily adjust camera settings- Easy, quick install (less than an hour)- Vantrue viewer desktop application is really nice and shows all necessary detail (up to 3 videos at once, GPS location, etc)- can update camera firmware via the mobile app. Nice to not have to download onto an SD card and install it that way.Cons:- Dashcam uses adhesive to stick to the windsheild/rear window. This alone isn't bad, but I'm concerned about if it will continue to hold during extreme temperatures. So far so good.- Camera loses all stored settings after performing a firmware update. Not a huge deal, but kinda a pain to have to go reset everything the way I had it.Vantrue seems to do a good job with their products. I hope to have this device for years to come.
Great Dashcam & Great Customer Service. I purchased the Vantrue N4 Pro dashcam as an upgrade from a different Vantrue model. I purchased a new vehicle and wanted additional camera coverage with the rear view camera. I have had many other brand dashcams over many years and this is the best one I've owned. The image quality is great and you can easily see license plates in the footage. The night vision works great as long as there is ambient light from your headlights, other cars, or street lights. The image sensor is amazing and grabs all of the light for high quality footage. The settings are very intuitive and easy to use and by far the best of any dashcam I've used. I was sort of hesitant about the magnetic side cover and the dashcam mount. The magnets are super strong and will not separate unless you want them separated. The window mount, with the double-sided tape? The best! I have had nothing but problems with suction cups wearing out and no longer staying on the windshield. I have not tried the voice command functions as I am old school and am willing to push buttons:) The parking mode works great and I use it all day while at the 8-5 and while parked in public places.Customer service, from a dashcam company? Yes, the best customer service I have received after purchasing anything, ever! I did have a problem with the dashcam and contacted Vantrue via email. They responded the same day (9 hours later) with a few questions. I responded to their questions with honest answers over a couple more emails. They asked me to return the dashcam without hesitation, for a new replacement. The dashcam was 13 months old and stuck in the Texas heat everyday. Other brand dashcams I have owned that suffered from the Texas heat just died and no longer worked. The Vantrue had a small problem that I could have lived with but they stand behind their product 100% and take care of their customers. Buy a VAntrue N4 Pro 3 channel dashcam with all of the bells and whistles, you will not be disappointed.
This camera provides great picture clarity and piece of mind. The media could not be loaded. Vantrue N4 Pro 3 Channel 4K Wi-Fi Dash CamThis 3-channel dash cam kit includes all necessary items to install such as camera cables (one cigarette lighter powered cable and one rear camera cable that links to the front camera), front camera integrated GPS mount, and windshield adhesive. The hardwire kit (wired to vehicle fuse box) is optional for Parking Mode.Install: EasyI temporarily plugged the cameras in, and downloaded the Vantrue app so that I could see the camera views to fine tune the placement before securing to the windows with adhesive and hiding the wiring. I placed my front camera beneath my Rearview mirror which means I had to compromise picking up a small portion of the bottom of the mirror. Although the rear camera lens vertical angle can be adjusted after it’s mounted, it was advantageous to see on the Vantrue app not to place it too high up toward the hatch spoiler.Setup: IntermediateI have two older versions of Vantrue Dash Cams, and I’m familiar with the overall menu and basic functions, otherwise I looked over the manual to update myself on the new features. I think the Vantrue app cuts the learning curve in half and makes setup easier.Tip: In case you don’t read the manual, make sure Wi-Fi is temporarily turned off in your vehicle while trying to connect the Vantrue App to the Dash Cam and make sure WI-FI is active on the Dash Cam.Recording:I use high endurance rated MicroSD cards which are made to handle multiple recording overwrites, and extreme temperatures. I usually transfer video directly to my computer from the MicroSD card, but the Vantrue app makes it easy to transfer a file directly to my iPhone.Tip: My video loop recording time is set to 5mins, which means I have less individual files, but those files do take longer to Wi-Fi drop to my iPhone. I could set a smaller loop Record time for smaller files, but I’d rather wait the extra 30sec to 1min for larger but fewer video files. In Use:I was floored by the improved picture quality, field of view and Night Vision. You can read (not guest) the license plates of multiple cars in multiple lanes, the field of view on the inside camera captures the entire width from viewing outside the rear passenger window to outside the left rear passenger window.I also noticed the improved quality and distance of the Night Vision inside the vehicle. The Front camera Night Vision is also impressive which is due to the updated Starvis 2.Viewing the Rear camera at night isn’t that great for me which may be due to my extremely dark window tint but it’s still decent and I would not want to be without it.I have a CPL filter which does work great to cut down on glare, and it makes the details more defined and a little, like increasing the Contrast control on a picture. My environment is sunny and very bright majority of the year so it works, but a CPL filter may make your image too dark if you don’t have very bright conditions. It may be something to try anyway especially if your work commute is always driving toward the sun.Wish list:1. It would be great to view the dash cam through the Vantrue app from further away like a home security cam.2. Higher frame rate recording3. Tag recorded videos as “Record Safe” from within Vantrue app or camera menu, or transfer to Event folder.4. Cloud recording, especially for parking mode or collision detection.Overall, this camera provides great picture clarity, piece of mind, and at a competitive value.
I was looking for a dashcam system to upgrade my old single channel dashcam. This dashcam system suited my needs. The 3 channels provides complete coverage in the front, back, and the inside with excellent video quality in both day and night. Been using it for a few days and all I can say is that I'm impressed. Comes with lots of features, like GPS and voice control. Voice control is pretty responsive, but sometimes might not pick up the command. Not a big issue though since I don't use the voice control that much.Connecting to the dashcam via the app is really simple. Although the dashcam has a screen, the live preview from the phone made setting up the dashcam position so much easier. Easily view and download the video clips from the app, and downloading clips over the 5GHz wifi is quite quick too. All the settings can also be set from the app, which makes changing settings so much easier than setting on the dashcam itself (though you can still do that). This dashcam will record 3 separate files (front, rear, and cabin), so be sure to get a large memory card. You might think you don't need a interior cabin camera, but let me tell you, the interior cabin camera is not just for rideshare drivers. Sometimes the police can make mistakes and might accuse you of something you didn't do. But you need evidence to prove your innocence. If the police pulls you over because they think you were looking at your phone while driving but you were not, then you have video proof from the cabin camera proving you were not on your phone. The interior cabin camera angle is wide enough to capture the movements of the driver and passenger, and even backseat passengers (depending on where you install it). Or if the police says you or your passenger weren't wearing your/their seatbelt when you/they actually were, then you have video proof of that as well. Or if you get robbed in the car, you have video of the criminal's face. These things can be hard to prove in court, so having video evidence here will be very useful. Having been burned before because I didn't have interior camera to record my actions to prove myself innocent, I cannot stress enough the importance of protecting yourself these days, whether from the police or from other cars or people, and having this dashcam system will be super useful in proving your innocence.Only con I have about this is the slow start up. It takes maybe about 7-8 seconds after starting the car and the power port becomes active before the dashcam will boot up. Not a big problem for me though.Overall, a great dashcam with excellent quality and features, and I'm happy that I've invested in this dashcam to give me the peace of mind knowing I have protection in case an incident happens. You cannot go wrong with this dashcam.
The Vantrue N4 Pro 3 Channel 4K Dash Cam is the best dashcam I've ever owned. Having upgraded from the Vantrue X4S, the difference is night and day, especially in terms of connectivity, video quality, and reliability.First off, the 4K front camera, coupled with 1080P interior and rear cameras, offers great clarity. The STARVIS 2 Night Vision technology provides surprisingly good footage in low-light conditions; I was really surprised by the clarity. So no matter the time of day, N4 Pro captures everything in great detail, including crucial elements like license plates—exactly what you'd expect from a premium dash cam.One of the most significant improvements over my previous X4S model is the Wi-Fi connectivity. The N4 Pro maintains a solid connection with the app, and the app itself is incredibly user-friendly. I can easily download footage directly to my phone right after any incident without having to fumble around in the settings, which is a lifesaver when you need instant access to evidence. The other week, I witnessed an accident, and thanks to this dash cam, I was able to capture clear, reliable footage without any hassle.Another major plus is the GPS functionality. Unlike the X4S, which struggled with location accuracy (often thinking I was in Britain), the N4 Pro nails both location and speed tracking. It gives real-time, accurate data for every trip, which is great for when reviewing footage and ensuring all details are captured correctly.OKAY, THE ONE DOWNSIDE! - the N4 Pro does run warm, and at first, I was concerned about potential overheating (as others here have suggested). To address this, I turned on the setting that automatically turns off the LCD screen 30 seconds after the car starts. This has kept the device cool during the summer months, and I actually prefer driving with the screen off to avoid any distractions. If you ever need the screen back on, a quick press of a button will reactivate it.Compared to other dash cams on the market, the Vantrue N4 Pro stands out for its reliability, excellent video quality, and robust features. The 4K resolution, superior night vision and accurate GPS tracking, makes it a top-tier choice for anyone serious about road safety. While there are other high-end dash cams available, very few offer the trifecta of front, interior, and rear coverage with such clarity and ease of use.In summary, the Vantrue N4 Pro is a must-have for any driver looking for peace of mind on the road. It’s a significant step up from previous models, and it easily outshines many of its competitors. Highly recommended! Even with the downside of it running hot with the LCD screen on, I still believe it is 5 stars since I was able to figure out how to circumvent it from overheating and I don't need the LCD screen on while driving.
I have used many dash cams before. The more recent one was Nextbase 522GW Front Dash and Rear Windows Camera which are average quality only and kept giving me issues such as poor connectivity. Vantrue N4 Pro 3 channel 4K front and rear dash cam are clear winner in almost all aspects. The 4k image quality of the videos are exceptional. Connectivity with my mobile phone is always smooth. Lots of configurations available to suit my specific preferences. I love these Vantrue cams so much that we bought another set for another car after the first week of using the first set. I think the price-performance ratio is very high. The packaging is very high quality, which included everything I need and a very detailed instructions booklet inside (which is good for people of old school like me) though you could download it online. I bought the Ventrue hardwire kit too in order to provide constant power for parking surveillance while giving smart low voltage protection. Overall, Ventrue N4 Pro is a premium product at very reasonable price. Will definitely recommend it to my friends.Besides the quality of the product, their Customer Service Team is also exceptional. I messed something up myself by accident so I raised an issue to their team. Liki from the team was very responsive, efficient and helpful, who addressed my issue immediately. I'm super happy with the overall experience.
I recently upgraded to the Vantrue N4 Pro Dashcam, and I'm pretty impressed with its features and performance.*Video Quality: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)**What sets the N4 Pro apart is its exceptional video quality. The 4K resolution main channel (front) camera delivers incredibly clear and detailed footage, making it easy to identify license plates, road signs, and even the smallest details. The enhanced IR night vision is a game-changer, as it provides clear and well-lit footage even in low-light conditions. Regardless of time of day, (or if your car resides in a dim parking garage), the Sony Starvis 2 sensor (with HDR) is able to capture sharp images (my older IR cams struggled a bit in unlit parking lots). The wide-angle lenses for interior and rear views (@1080p) provides a comprehensive view of the surroundings, ensuring that no incident goes unnoticed. Front view is 155°, interior is 160° and rear is 165° degrees.**Ease of Installation: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)**Setting up the dashcam was straighforward. The package included all the necessary accessories, including adhesive promoter, and the clear instructions made installation quick and hassle-free. The adhesive mount securely holds the front and rear dashcams in place. If you have a small hatchback or sedan, the included 20ft USB C to C cable to connect the rear camera might have a fair bit of excess cable to hide. I ran mine along the inside of the headliner border and hid the excess in the A pillar and down behind the dash (hardwired install), being cautious to not have it interfere with airbag lines.Upon first boot, the dashcam prompted set up and automatically formatted the sd card (supports up to 512GB Class10/U3). If you don't connect the rear camera, it won't show up on the display screen, which is nice. Not sure why you wouldn't want to connect it, but its nice to see the camera display is intelligent enough to auto-display only the cameras connected. You can also change the camera settings (ie: disable interior view) via the Vantrue app.User-Friendly Interface: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)**The intuitive interface of the dashcam makes it easy to navigate through settings and playback footage. The menu is straightforward, and the buttons are well-placed, allowing for quick adjustments on the go. I like the big red power button that takes instant photos/emergency recording. I do prefer the option to change settings via your phone (connected via wifi NOT Internet) over using the buttons to navigate the menus. All in all, upon unboxing, it truly "feels" like a quality product. The camera housing is sleek and weighty and the device itself uses supercapacitors to mitigate severe heat and cold temperatures. The N4 Pro really does impress with its exceptional video quality, simple installation, and user-friendly interface. Its 4K resolution camera, enhanced night vision, and wide-angle lenses ensure comprehensive coverage and clear footage. The simple setup, thoughtful design, and intuitive controls make it a top choice to ensure when you're on the road, you have all your bases covered.
An update on this camera now I have had it some time.As others have mentioned it runs very hot indeed - so hot I could not handle it today when it fell off the screen. This has been a repeated problem with the front camera which is incredibly heavy as I feared for the small footprint of the adhesive pads. I have purchased top quality pads, cleaned all surfaces but as soon as there is any warm weather the pads fail and it falls off.The wifi link is excellent - but always download what you need soon as you can.Because once an update is due it resets everything back to factory settings and all has to be reprogrammed - loosing what ever was on the card. The camera quality is very good but there is definately a need for a suction cup which is a lot more robust to hold it to the window. None of the other holders from earlier models will fit as they have different pin configuration. At the moment got no solution to safely place it in the car.The item arrived very well packaged and it took minimal time to have it hardwired to my Jeep. The front unit initially felt a lot heavier than I expected and I was concerned maybe the pads supplied would not be strong enough. That concern was soon forgotten as the camera fixed very firmly in place.I downloaded the free app and soon had my android phone and the camera talking to each other.A quick upgrade was transferred with really zero tech knowledge needed and it rebooted itself. We made a personal choice not to have the cabin camera on, just front and rear. But if you have young people in the family driving this is a great additional safety aspect. The quality I have found has been excellent, and I see some reviews have been critical of the ability to get number plates.Personally not had that issue - and the quality of the photo has allowed me to zoom in.As with all cameras clean glass, and the weather - sunshine have unavoidable impact but overall I have been very impressed. The app is clean and tidy. Easy to use and offers easy ways to alter the main settings.Playback of the videos also has the option to have a split screen showing your position on a map as you travel.Lot of additional GPS - Positioning and vehicle data also available.I found the voice commands easy to use. One thing I did realize is that if you use the command ‘take photo’ don’t forget if you are driving the object is also moving closer or further away. I experimented a couple of times driving and due to my speed we passed before it captured the event. But it was on the video clip. This has given my wife and I great peace of mind. We have seen a significant increase in out of Province and new drivers in eastern Canada, and at least we know that we will have a copy of the event to help should anything happen. Highly recommended - high quality and does exactly what the manufacturers say.

Rich features are the best. I bought this X500 model because of the amazing features that were nearly impossible to find out about. Not even the Thinkware Website gave an adequate description of the features. The final and best feature list came from the manual download. Here is the precise list of features that make the X500 a top choice: We would have to pay a LOT of money to get these features installed in a new car. So here is the best description of features:' Lane Departure Warning System(LDWS) Lane departure warning alerts the driver when the vehicle moves out of its lane. LDWS is activated only when the vehicle is moving faster than 50km/h (30mph) * Default setting : 80km/h (approx 50mph) + Photo of the feature display in the manual.' Forward Collision Warning System (FCWS)Forward collision warning alerts the driver when the vehicle is approaching the vehicle ahead at a high closing rate. FCWS is activated only when the vehicle is moving faster than 30km/h (18mph) + Photo of the feature display in the manual.' Front Vehicle Departure Warning (FVDW)Front vehicle departure warning alerts the driver when the vehicle ahead starts to move forward from a complete stop. The vehicle must be at a complete stop for more than 4 seconds in order for the FVDW notification to be activated. + photo of the feature display in the manual' Safety Camera Alert :Using GPS and a database, safety camera alert will warn the driver when approaching traffic enforcement zones such as red light camera, speed camera, average speed camera, and mobile speed zones. + photo of the feature display in the manualData base is automatically updated with the latest firmware update. X500 recommends updating the firmware every 6 months from our PC. Insert the Micro-SD card into the PC, then follow the download procedure at the x500 website. It can use a 64GB Micro-SD card for up to 48 hours of recording time. The custom installation cable must be ordered separately. The rear view camera is optional.>2.7-inch clear displayOn the LCD screen of the Dash Cam, you can check real-time and recorded videos, change the settings and format your memory card. Using the 2.7 inch clear display, you no longer have to connect to a PC, MAC or smart device; you can simply perform these tasks in your car. X500 display has optimal specifications for displaying clear and sharp images.>2.4 Million Pixel High Resolution Image SensorThe 2.4 million pixel high resolution SONY Exmor CMOS image sensor can greatly improve the quality of night time images as well as day time images. Now, everything in front of X500 becomes brighter and clearer.>140 Degree Wide AngleThe highly precise optical glass lens records all surrounding images around your car, without missing a movement, while minimizing distortion. The 140 degree wide angle lens can record both front and side situations of the car.>Strong Processor, Ambarella A7X500 utilizes the best CPU with high specification applied in sports cam for its smart performance. It minimizes power consumption while providing optimal performance. X500 is a globally competitive Dash Cam that can reliably support major functions such as Front/Rear Full HD Ultra-high Quality Recording, Dual Save, WDR, Super Night Vision, Smart AE and others.>Vivid Driving Information Based on the Built-in GPSUsing the GPS data in X500, it can precisely pinpoint the vehicle's driving speed, location and routes on the map. The GPS helps you to accurately assess the status of the accident by providing you with the vehicle speed, the direction of collision and the severity of impact. The video recording feature not only store driving footages, you can also use them to track your holiday travel routes with family and friends. When your teenagers drive your car, they can review the routes and the driving data to improve on their driving techniques as well.>Accelerometer G-SensorThe X, Y, Z axes of the G sensor allow you to measure fluctuations in gravity, speed or rotation. At a glance, you can understand the axial movement and impact during an accident.>Viewer for Checking Clear and Precise VideoWith smart functions and interface kept simple for first time users, THINKWARE DASH CAM allows you to easily and conveniently playback recorded videos. Through PC or Mac viewer, you can playback rear and front videos, and download recorded videos with information on your driving history and speed. With just a few clicks on the viewer, you can change the dash cam setting, format the memory card or update the firmware.>Automatic Temperature Sensitive Shutdown ProtectionSpecially designed heat-discharging structure and high-temperature-blocking functions safely protect the product and its images stored under the strong sunlight. If the temperature rises and exceeds a certain level, the SELF-PROTECTION SHUTDOWN function will automatically switch off the device to protect the stored videos.>Secure fail-safe recordingEven if the power is automatically turned off, the recorded video is safely saved. If the power is turned off accidentally due to a car accident or malfunction; or if the power supply to the dash cam is blocked, you can use the FAIL-SAFE RECORDING to safely preserve the videos being recorded. Now, even if the dash cam power is turned off accidently, you can still safely view the recorded video.Coming up next I will review each of the above features and discuss how well each works. Check this review in October.9/11/15My first test drive was a disaster. False alerts every few minutes for no apparent reason, primarily crash alerts. So I turned off all the alerts except the lane change alerts and I set those to low sensitivity. My plan is to set up and adjust one feature at a time, starting with the lane change alerts, which was my main reason to buy this unit. The Red Light Camera + Speed Camera in my area failed to get alerts, so it must not be in their database. Who do I call to get the database updated? No instructions to be found for this chore.11/19/15After setting up the adjustments this fine dashcam exceeds ALL of my expectations. My main reason for getting this unit was the lane change alert for when I drift into another lane. This works PERFECTLY every time. Collision detection also works perfectly. I am one happy camper. I highly recommend this dashcam to everyone.PROBLEM,Not enough cable clamps were supplied to mount the cable. Order a dozen more stick on cable clamps to finish the installation.Grizz
make me enjoy of driving. The products is enough to have FIVE stars .I used the low price product previously. But I worried that the recording is working every time due to frequent problems. cheap price provides low quality.Eventually we had to find new products. After comparing many products, I choose X500. X500's major advantage is reliability. All operations are working without ANY problems in extreme hot summer. If you check the temperature of the X500 that is exposed to hot, it is too hot even I can't touch it. However X500 is stable and working normally. X500 has a LCD that I can check the status of the equipment any time. during driving, driver can be exposed to a variety of situations such as a tunnel or night driving. In any situation, X500 was working stable and guaranteed recording.X500 is enough to get five points due to ensure stable operation and reliable recording in harsh environments.Add-ons upgrade convenience of X500.Collision detection, built-in GPS, speed detection and lane departure detection, etc., make me enjoy of driving. If frequent notifications are annoying setting can be disabled any time.In addition, one of the advantage is that additional rear camera can be attached.comparing other built-in rearview camera products which recorded the car inside than the rear, X500 is more helpful to check real realview. The whole family, while the trip across the north american for more than a week, felt comfortable always with reliable operation of X500 .In addition, the trip is always enjoyable with additional features such as lane detection and strikes.one of the reason that I choose this product was INavi maker made good navigation for a long time in South Korea. It means I will be able to get stable support any time in the future.
Clear Video. Brought one for my wife’s car and then added one in my car. Works very good.
Be Aware of What is Included. The description clearly states in the Product Description that a rear camera and an External GPS are included with the item. Neither of them are. I purchased what was supposed to be a used combination as listed in like new condition and only received the front camera, the SD Card, the mounting bracket and the power cable at a cost of $30 more than the front camera alone was listed for with the same SD card, the power cable and the mounting bracket. Basically, I paid $139.99 for a used camera when I could have purchased the new one for $109.99. Of course I am returning it for a refund and will have to research to see if the additional cost of the GPS, hard wiring harness and rear camera are within my price range. If you are expecting the rear camera and the GPS with this item, don't be surprised if they are not included even if you pay the $250 for a brand new one. By the way, the package was direct from Thinkware and states "All original accessories included" which of course they were not.
Because it is made in Korea, I purchased it without any hesitation. The quality of my purchase has been superb.
Haven’t owned long enough to fully rate. Went through a cold winter here in NS Canada, sometimes as low as minus 20 c not counting wind chill. Had no issues
Only using the front camera, love that you get a preview of the camera direction
I see there are several people saying the same thing. Of course the ad now reads refurbished, but did not when I bought. Buyer beware.
