Great laptop. Love my laptop computer. Easy to use. Use it every day for hours and battery lasts until I charge it at bedtime until next morning. Screen quality and pictures are vibrant. Sound quality is great. Has a lot of storage capacity!!!!
Did I steal this. As a bit of power user for desktops (programmer, professional, and PC gamer), a laptop is a distant afterthought. It was purchased for limited remote work uses. The more I use it the more I wonder if I stole the thing. The specs are great. The battery life is great. The performance is great. The screen is great. When I opened it up and found a numpad I was in love (or at least distant afterthought love).
Good value, but watch for damage and who you buy from. Good value. I purchased this model: (HP 255 G10 Laptop, Ryzen 3 7330U, 15.6", 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD with Windows 11 Pro) from the seller Chromebook Prosale via Amazon for $399 in December of 2024.I had to return the first one because it had a RAM error. Every other time I started it, the Caps Lock LED would blink (3 long and two short). According to the documentation, that meant a RAM issue. Might have just needed a cleaning or the RAM was installed improperly. (more on that later.) I'll never know because I didn't want to void the warranty. So I sent it back and the seller promptly sent a new one. No errors on that one. YAY!Booted it up and it indeed had no errors, recognized all hardware, and had Windows 11 Pro installed. All good. Pretty quick. WiFi has typical range. There are two USB ports, one HDMI port, and one 1/8" audio jack. Battery holds a charge like a champ. No security port. However, I'm pretty satisfied with this laptop.Being satisfied, I then voided the warranty and opened the system to take a look. (I don't recommend this for the casual user because, though I'm not sure, I think it will void your warranty - if they find out that is!)Now the interesting part:TLDR: Be careful when buying from third-party sellers. You might save money, but you never know where the laptop has been or whose grubby paws were inside it!See attached image of the RAM. Note that only one stick is covered with a sticker. This leads me to believe that HP built this laptop with 8 GB of RAM (1 stick) originally. I can't prove it, but I think that the seller (or another intermediary) installed the 2nd stick of RAM to bring it up to 16 GB. Three clues led me to this deduction (which is guesswork): 1 - the lack of a sticker. That's weak sauce, and HP QA would probably not let that pass before leaving the manufacturer. 2. One of the panel's front corners was slightly lifted off two of the clips, as if the person who closed the panel (after installing the RAM) didn't finish the job properly. Made it easier for me to pop the panel though! 3. The first laptop I received had that RAM issue I mentioned. That would probably not pass QA at an HP manufacturing plant either. Standard procedure is to have a system booted at least three times.Am I happy with my assumption? No. But I'll deal with it after inspecting the RAM installed and comparing it with the first 8 GB stick. The laptop looks clean and I inspected Windows 11 as well for any "weirdness" or inappropriate programs. That said, would I purchase this again or recommend it. Only if a person's sole criteria for buying was price. Generally, I recommend buying laptops from the manufacturer directly.
Good quality, good speed, plenty of storage and NOT loaded with bloat ware. I was a very happy with the laptop, would definitely recommend for someone looking for something they can use to pay their bills, watch streaming services, and play a couple low intensity games.
Do not buy from 'Chromebook Prosale'. Bought this laptop for school and it was absolutely perfect, for a few weeks until it crashed and gave an error code. I tried to request a refund but it was 1 day past the 30 day window. I tried to file an asurian claim but was told since it was so new I had to deal with the manufacturers warranty. HP had to send a package to me to send it back so it took a few weeks before I finally got contacted by them. They informed me the laptop had been filled with cheap aftermarket parts voiding their warranty and recommended not buying off Amazon because of sketchy sellers like Chromebook Prosale. Had to wait for the computer to return and then contacted Amazon and explained the situation and they told me I had to go direct with the seller. They demanded I try a bunch of basic trouble shooting techniques despite HP already diagnosing it. Finally they agreed to a refund and issued a return tag to ship it. It arrived to them in 3 days but they refused to process a return for another 10 days claiming it was Amazon's policy and they have nothing to do with it.If you buy from them you are rolling the dice, because if it breaks I can assure you they will fight you every step of the way to get it returned or fixed.
Excellent speed and easy to navigate. I just moved from Windows 7 to Windows 11 with this new computer. Easy to navigate and Copilot is like a personal assistant. Good value for the price.
Very nice laptop. This one was recommended for me and I love this laptop. I like it so much better than my chrome. It works well and I have experienced no problems!
Computadora muy ligera y rápida. Excelente producto

Nice little laptop for the money. I've had it now for a while but just started using it full time. Great little laptop and very lightweight. The only thing I've noticed is that the left-hand shift key has gotten stuck a few times and all my letters stay upper case. Battery life has been awesome so far, but all laptops start out that way. We'll see.
Amazing quality. Came in perfect condition, the screen is very clear, the sound is great, it’s quite fast and does not lag, the size is perfect for working at home and at school, definitely worth every penny! Quite slim and not too heavy either! If you’re looking for a good quality and affordable laptop, this one would be perfect!!
GREAT PRODUCT. The HP Stream 14" Laptop is a solid option if you need a basic laptop for light use. It offers excellent value for the price, especially with 16GB of RAM and 288GB of storage. However, if you need more power for intensive tasks, you may want to consider a more powerful machine. It’s a great choice for students or anyone looking for a low-cost, everyday laptop.
Reset PC, Switch out of S Mode, Do Not Install McAfee. Windows S Mode and McAfee are glitchy performance killers and restrictive applications. Switching out of Win 11 S mode should be a straight forward process but it just does not work as it should, along with McAfee installed, whether you want it or not. McAfee acts like a worm virus, intrusively imbedding itself deep into system architecture instead of being a gate keeper like other anti-virus apps. Windows S Mode dose not allow you to install and run any app that is not Microsoft verified and found on the Microsoft Store. In S Mode, you cannot install and run any browser other than MS Edge or Bing. There is an app within the MS Store to switch out of S mode but it will not work because, I suspect, of the bloated software that launches when you first turn on and set up this laptop. Switching out of S Mode is permanent. All the advise and direction I found to get this switch to work had failed. Lots of frustrated people out there with the same issue. I finally got MS Support on the phone and they told me this is a very common problem with this product and the only way to resolve it was to reset the PC. A total reset, wiping the OS and all files you may have added. No big deal as this is a new PC and I did not transfer anything from my old PC. After the PC was reset, I was able to switch out of S mode so that I now have Win 11 Home instead of Win 11S Home. At the same time, a McAfee install popup was automatically prompted so I could select Do Not Install. This was all a bit of a pain but other than that, this laptop is not so bad. The display colors are not as vibrant as I hoped but with a resolution of only 1365 x 768, I should have expected that. However, the graphics display very well on a connected higher resolution monitor and it handles steaming video from Amazon Prime Video beautifully. I hope this information can help someone avoid the frustration of dealing with what was intentionally sold as a very restrictive operating environment. Getting rid of S Mode and McAfee gives you back unrestricted use of your laptop. One more annoying detail is that, by default, this operating environment is set to save everything to the MS cloud. The default storage of Document, Downloads, Pictures, etcetera, are all MS cloud folders which is where every file is stored unless you go through a few more clicks to store the files on your local laptop drive. By default, initially you cannot even boot up this laptop without entering your MS PIN to log onto your laptop, and thereby logging into your MS account at the same time. I found this a bit presumptuous that MS thought this was a good idea. Perhaps good for their own marketing efforts though, as some bot scans your files for things you do in order to tailor marketing ad pushes to you personally, but I digress. If you do not want Big Brother holding on to all your personal, professional, private, or other data, then you need to go in to system settings and turn off the MS log in PIN. Doing so allows you to boot up your laptop to your local drive account only. You can always log in and log out of your MS account if and when you choose at any time. Of course, you can even turn off your own laptop log in password so it just simply turns on. without a password. Your choice, as it should be.
Defective on day one of setup; edit: returned. Mine just came in yesterday and I have started the process of setting it up today (only 2 days); I’ve downloaded Google Chrome and a reputable subscription based VPN app (S mode was deactivated for the purpose of downloading Chrome). After downloading those two, I set up 2 administrator users and one standard user. In the process of setting up the other administrator user: the laptop crashed and the screen turned black. I’ve tried hard resetting and am leaving it to charge overnight. My intended use was for education for when I’m not at home (I have a desktop and obviously no one is going to bring a whole tower to every class they go to) so I wasn’t planning to use anything fancy — word and chrome. In terms of performance before it crashed:1) CPU was at 100% and was still slow when opening up apps (I wasn’t far from my main mesh router and my actual desktop works fine so can’t be internet problem)2) It made me do a recovery startup when I first unpackaged and logged into my microsoft acccount and the startup took about 20 minutes3) Breeze it up — it felt warm on the bottom after an hourThinking about returning it if the laptop still doesn’t turn on (I’ve tried 2 different outlets in 2 different rooms — [wall plug] and [my extender that has anker charger and an air purifier plugged in]) tmr afternoon).Edit: I’m returning it and getting a refund; had it plugged in for a couple of days now and have been attempting to turn it on daily — no success; laptop still does not turn on
cheap and works great. list of reasons why this deserves 5 stars.1. looks cool. it looks like carbon fiber.2. it's really fast. don't know if it's because of the 16 gigs of ram or the 4 core processor but it's really quick.3. the price. this cost a little more than a notebook and you get a lot for it.4. all the connections i needed. . hdmi for a second monitor , high speed 3.0 usb's to run my interface and a 3.0 usb-c.5. the hotface usb hard disc and power hub are really handy. thanks for the great deal
Perfect for my needs. WP/Web browser. This is what I was looking for. Price point, simple, compact, decent speed. I use HP at home and at work for 20ish years. Only had one hardware issue in all those years which was covered by warranty. All else was replaced due to age.
Works well, but the memory is an issue. The media could not be loaded. We have been using this laptop for about a month for my daughter's homeschool. Thus far, we have had no issues with the basic processes of the device. However, I am confused as to why the laptop was listed as having more memory than it actually does. There is a detachable item with the laptop (that I haven't even been able to get to work) and they included this item in their estimation. But it doesn't actually add any memory to the laptop. Additionally, I don't know how to use it, it won't turn on even when connected to the laptop, etc. If I had the choice again, I would have purchased a more robust laptop for the same price but without this adapter/port thing. Lesson learned.
Está súper bien trae window y antivirus solo que se llena muy rápido la memoria el color es súper bonito no tan brilloso
good quality fast and holds a good charge bought this as a gift to my self and it is exactly as described good value for the price and fast and easy shipping
I'm very happy with this purchase, this PC is as practical as beautiful and I really enjoy using it Thank you very much 🙂
I love the dusty rose/ pink colour for the laptop, and overall I am very happy with my purchase especially since I got such a great price, and it came with one year Microsoft 365 to test out!My only negative feedback is that I do find it slow and lags a bit, but it’s not an expensive laptop and the processor is slower, so it’s to be expected. Still in hindsight I wish I’d spent a bit more money and purchased a faster product.
I bought two of these laptops back in 2021 and one of them just stopped working a couple of months ago out of nowhere and I wasn’t even using it. There is an error message ever since I opened it that says “Boot Device Not Found. Please install an operating system on your hard disk”. The laptop was already slow to begin with which is why I barely used it. If I had known I never would have purchased them. What a waste of money.

Great laptop, add SSD card for smoother gaming. I purchased this to play OSRS with HD graphics and was not dissappinted. The laptop came with Wibdows 11 Pro installed and not in S mode as advertised which was a personal relief for me. Graphics card performs beautifully. Only thing I found neccesary was updating the SSD card for increased loading speeds and to reduce any lag that may occur. Works like a gem. GREAT budget gaming laptop
Everything I was looking for. Pretty good laptop. Will make a really good school or low level gaming laptop compared to latest games. It came with a 128gb 800mbps m.2 drive that was slow for windows 11 so upgraded it to 1tb 3500mbps m.2 drive. There are mixed reviews and info even from the manufacturer on if it has a extra ram slot or not but this one does not have one. All the ram is soldered to the motherboard and needs to be taken to an Acer shop in order to upgrade. Out of the box it used 6/8gb of ram at first then after the updates it dropped down to 4/8gb used. The system is pretty fast for only having 4gb free. The processor is the main feature I ordered it for since it is a 4core-8thread processor with speed ranging from 2.5ghz to 4.3ghz. After trying some more power demanding games the temp could still not pass 50c and stays quiet and cool to touch. It normally stays idle around 41c when not under a heavy load with no sound from the fans. The screen is decent quality but not meant for games since it's LCD and not being led the games get a bit of blur here and there with higher fps. Word of advice is when installing a different operating system the WiFi drivers do not reinstall with the system so any online activation is almost useless unless you have a usb-ethernet adapter. The battery lasts me around 6 hours in performance mode but in power saving mode could possibly last 9+ hours and way longer with some power setting tweaks. The graphics says 600mb dedicated and 3400mb shared but unlike a lot of systems all the shared moves straight to dedicated making it 4gb for the graphics. The value is pretty good and the appearance is slick. My older brother was checking it out and thinking of buying one now because of how well it does. Some upgrades to look into if you know what your doing is a new m.2 drive with a faster transfer rate and also possibly an upgraded 15.6inch screen that's 1080p-4k.
Nice little spare for email, bill paying, etc. Just got this computer to check email, pay bills, shop. That's it.Does a very good job on that. Fast enough. The only thing that makes it four stars instead of five are weak speakers but that said, didn't get this computer for music or video. It's a steal and a deal if you just want this computer for what I got it for - again - just email, shop a little, pay bills.
Great laptop. I just received today. It booted quickly and was easy to set up and transfer all my file to it. The screen brightness and quality is great. The keyboard is comfortable and quiet. Nice sleek design. Worked just as expected and I’m pleased with the decision to buy.
Its a good laptop but. I got this laptop for my little sister. So far it’s been over a week and no problems have occurred. EXCEPT when you read the title you will see something called “S-MODE” OH MY GOSH. S-MODE IS A PRISON CELL. I could not figure out how to turn it off even tho it tells you and brings you to the app. The app wouldn’t load and microsoft store was being very annoying. I handed the laptop off to my brother and he said he went to the registry and took it off there. I forget some of the things that he told me did but yea he went INTO the laptops registry and was able to take it off there and he restarted the computer and it was gone! now it runs fine but you wont be able to do much of heavy gaming which is what i bought for the laptop for in the first place! because it wouldn’t run any of the games i was trying i decided to use shadow. literally the best app to ever be created literally she can run anything from minecraft with high end shaders and loads of mods to sims 4 also packed with cc! so what im saying is if you buy this laptop to play games shadow is a GREAT thing to use it makes it so the laptop basically runs like a gaming pc. the games rarely lag unless she’s connected to our weaker internet! Which is why a ethernet cord would be so AMAZING if you are using shadow on the laptop
Amazed By This Cheap Laptop (1 Month in). If you were like me, looking for a college laptop that would not break the bank, look no further. I am literally writing this review on this laptop in class.I just wanted a (Windows) laptop that I can code on and do a couple assignments while on campus. I never have to worry about the battery dying on me unless it was already really low. It is surprisingly fast but obviously not as fast as a $2000 laptop. Fast enough I would say.Right out of the box, I was instantly very surprised at how good quality everything felt and looked. It is actually pretty large in size but not cumbersome. But as I keep using it I do have some nitpicks about it:- The screen portion is pretty bendable to the point where I feel like you can easily break it. Now I don't know who would do that on purpose but you should watch out.- No backlight on keyboard makes it hard to see keys in low light.- Keyboard feels sort of hollow. Probably because it is cheap.- Fan is noticeably loud, say if the class is quiet. But I do prefer it to be cool and be a little bit loud than it be hot.- Fan ramps up randomly. Like I could have a simple assignment up with 2 tabs open and it could kick on for some reason even though the workload is not much. Then other times I have a bunch of tabs and another application open but it will stay silent.Other than that it is perfect if you need a cheap laptop to get some work done at school or code like me. Definitely recommend.
Good Laptop for the price. works perfectly, setup was easy, very sleek, a bit loud, USB ports are fast, computer is fast, and its light.
The Acer Aspire 3 works perfect for my needs. It's fast, easy to use and affordable!
Arrived on time. Computer takes a few minutes to set up, but they all do. Works find & is fast. Only thing & this is my fault for not doing enough research, it has a 15" screen which for me is a little small. I would have no problem buying this brand again just I would look for a larger screen. Nice computer!
working well
👍🏻The device is great

Great value, love the simplistic design. Very simple and functional yet it has all of the essentials without any of the gimmicky frills. Maybe it takes a $300 laptop so I don't have to deal with built in Alexa-enabled something, HP-specific ports, fingerprint scanner, and other stuff I don't want or need. They don't try anything fancy with this one which for me is a positive. Plus it's TKL keyboard which really should be the new norm. Does not have a backlit keyboard which is a slight miss but for the price it's not a huge deal. You can take it out of S-mode easily and remove a lot of the addons and you have yourself a perfectly functional Windows machine. Despite the lower-tier hardware it still starts up very quickly if you make sure you don't have too much bloatware. Sure it's a little slow at times but if you're using it for day to day tasks it should be fine. Battery life seems very good, the laptop is also fairly lightweight as well. What more could you ask for at this price point.
10/10. I recently purchased the HP Newest 14" Ultralight Laptop and let me tell you, it has been an absolute game-changer for both my student life and my business needs. As someone who is always on the go, I needed a reliable laptop that could keep up with my busy schedule, and this laptop has exceeded all of my expectations.Let's start with the design - this laptop is sleek, lightweight, and portable, making it perfect for carrying around campus or taking to meetings. The 14" screen is the perfect size for both work and play, and the Intel Quad-Core N4120 processor ensures that everything runs smoothly and quickly. The 8GB of RAM and 192GB of storage (64GB eMMC + 128GB Micro SD) provide more than enough space for all of my files, photos, and videos. One of my favorite features of this laptop is the 1 Year Office 365 subscription that comes included. Having access to all of the Microsoft Office programs has made it so much easier for me to stay organized and productive. The webcam is great for virtual meetings, and the HDMI, WiFi, and USB-A ports make it easy to connect to external devices and accessories. But what truly sets this laptop apart is its incredible value for the price. I was a bit hesitant at first because of how affordable it is, but I can confidently say that this laptop is worth every penny. The performance and quality are on par with laptops that cost twice as much, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. In conclusion, if you're a student or a business professional in need of a reliable, efficient, and affordable laptop, with amazing battery life, look no further than the HP Newest 14" Ultralight Laptop. It's a 5-star product that will truly make your life easier and more enjoyable. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!.
Update: it's junk. 7 months update: screen won't turn on, won't hold a charge and is now dead. Waste of time and money.UPDATE: I have had this for less than 3 months and the battery no longer holds a charge. It has to remain plugged in at all times, and finding information to replace the battery has been difficult. Not all the keys register being pressed, causing endless spelling and grammatical issues. As time goes on this problem gets worse. The shift key locks on at random times as do random F keys. The mouse pad keeps getting stick and will not register clicks or randomly registers extra clicks.Half the troubleshooting abilities are being removed, and locating various places has become a scavenger hunt.It consistently has memory problems, despite the fact I save nothing to the actual computer. So much so it has no memory to watch streaming shows, to open any folder or to save anything.During this review I have had to deal with every problem above. If you want a basic laptop that you don't mind correcting and leaving as a desktop, this is fine. Not recommended for writing, watching videos, web searching, emailing, anything in works. Very basic in what it can do and you will be constantly adjusting what you do, including rewriting everything you write and reloading the same page over and over.Highly disappointed in this. I needed a simple computer to write on, and this has been more frustrating than useful. Not worth the money and effort.

HP 14 Laptop. HP 14 Laptop (14-dq0040nr) – Affordable and Portable, but with Some Trade-offs⭐ Rating: 4.0/5 ⭐Pros:✅ Affordable Price – This HP 14 laptop is budget-friendly, making it a great option for students, light users, or those in need of a secondary device.✅ Portable & Lightweight – The thin and lightweight design makes it easy to carry around, ideal for on-the-go use.✅ Decent Display – The 14-inch HD micro-edge display offers clear visuals, though it's not full HD.✅ Windows 11 Home – Comes with the latest OS, which is optimized for modern applications.✅ 1-Year Microsoft 365 Subscription – A great addition for users who rely on Word, Excel, and other Office tools.Cons:❌ Limited Performance – The Intel Celeron N4020 processor is okay for basic tasks like web browsing, email, and document editing, but struggles with multitasking or demanding applications.❌ Only 4GB RAM – The memory is quite low for modern standards, leading to slower performance when multiple tabs or applications are open.❌ Minimal Storage (64GB eMMC) – The storage space is extremely limited, meaning you'll need external storage or cloud solutions for larger files.❌ Not Ideal for Heavy Use – Not recommended for gaming, video editing, or other intensive tasks.❌ No Backlit Keyboard – Typing in low-light conditions can be challenging.Final Verdict:The HP 14 Laptop (14-dq0040nr) is a solid choice for those needing an affordable, portable device for light tasks like browsing, streaming, and office work. However, its limited RAM and storage make it less suitable for power users or heavy multitaskers. If you need a simple laptop for everyday use and don't mind relying on cloud storage, this could be a good pick—but if you need better performance, consider upgrading to a model with more RAM and SSD storage.
Very Good For Limited Use. I got this laptop for use while traveling. Will not use it for demanding software. It's slow. but in the acceptable range. It comes with Windows 11 Home in S mode. S mode limits the software you can use to those available in the Microsoft store. It wouldn't let me use LastPass or Dropbox. It came with Dropbox for S mode, but I couldn't get it to run.I removed S mode - once it's gone it can't be restored - and Dropbox and LastPass ran fine as did Chrome. It took several hours for Dropbox to sync my files, but it did so effectively. Thus, I have access to everything on my hard drive at home. I plugged in a tiny Samsung 256 GB flash drive (it costs $22 on Amazon) into a USB port and now I have far more storage than I'll ever need on this computer. The drive is so small that I'll leave it there for the life of the computer. All the programs I'll need when away from home run on this device. I wouldn't try to use it for gaming, but as a work away-from-home laptop for relatively simple tasks, it does the job at a very affordable price.
HP 14 Laptop: Great for a notebook under $200, But Keep RAM Limitations in Mind. The HP 14 is a great choice for those looking for a basic laptop under $200, but it’s not for gamers, designers, or anyone who does more than the basics on their computer. Most surprisingly, it’s even decent for streaming video and for cord cutters who can take advantage of the HDMI port to connect to a larger display. The basics: It comes with Windows 11 Home in S mode, but you can easily switch out of S mode if you need to install additional programs not found on the Microsoft store. I turned it off with 4 minutes of use, so that’s a breeze. And of course, this laptop features a 14-inch 1920 x 1080 display, an Intel Celeron N4020 processor, and 4GB of RAM.**Here are some of the highlights of the HP 14:*** **Great for basic tasks:** The HP 14 can handle basic tasks such as browsing the web, checking email, and using productivity software, but with only 4GB of RAM, I experienced some slowdowns when I had many tabs open in my browser or was running multiple programs at once.* **Long battery life:** The laptop can last up to 6.5 hours on a single charge. I was definitely impressed!* **Comfortable keyboard:** The keyboard is bouncy with a generous click and plenty of room for typing.if you like firmer keyboards, this one may not be your jam.* **SD card slot:** The HP 14 includes an SD card slot, which is a rarity for laptops in this price range.perfect for me,because my trail cam’s card can be emptied daily with ease!* **HDMI port:** as mentioned, this is great for cord cutters who want to connect to a larger display or projector. My last cheap laptop was twice the price of this one and didn’t have an hdmi or a card reader.**Here are some things to keep in mind:*** **Small touchpad:** The touchpad is small and can be difficult to use.* **Dim screen:** The screen is a bit dim and I found it impossible to use outside no matter how I adjusted the display settings.* **Low storage:** 64GB of storage may not be enough for some users.* **Limited RAM:** 4GB of RAM limits multitasking capabilities.I don’t know yet if those last two items are upgradable, but I’ll check into it if things get bogged down over the next few weeks!**Overall, the HP 14 is a great laptop for students, casual users, and anyone looking for a basic laptop under $200, especially if you don't plan on running multiple programs at once. However, if you need a laptop for more demanding tasks, you may want to consider a model with more RAM.**
Worth the money. It's a little slow because it don't have a lot of memory after you update everything but we only got it to look things up and do some research so it's worth it
Happy Customer. Great laptop for the money. Does everything I need and then some. Very fast and responsive to the network. I highly recommend for a medium level lap top.
A trusted brand. This laptop does pretty much everything I need. I've found that you can trust HP for quality and ease of use. You don't have to be a tech nerd to utilize its capabilities. If you're going from one HP to this one, a lot of your settings and apps and documents will transfer over, even your background picture. I had an old Hoyle games CD-Rom that wouldn't run on this, but everything else did. I use my laptop for writing, email, video-conferencing and surfing the internet, and it does all those things very well. And the price is right. I wish laptops still had an internal CD player, but for very little money you can buy an external CD-Rom drive.

The media could not be loaded. Está linda la compu pero no tiene Chrome. Y no tiene para conexión de cable para conectarla en modem solo wifi. Y no tiene todas las aplicaciones necesarias

Loved it. This laptop was everything I was looking for and more. I was looking for a new laptop for my college work, something that will last me a couple years with good storage and specs. I previously had an HP Laptop so I was skeptical to find something that met my standard. I ended up coming across this Nimo Student Laptop, with 16 GB ram and 1 TB storage, for a great price. My laptop was delivered quickly. It powered on well and completed its updates. It was very simple to log in and sync what was necessary. Downloading apps did not take long either. There is an option to sync your phone as well to receive notifications, messages, and calls which I thought was really cool. There is a camera cover, numeric keyboard, light-up keyboard, and a matte screen. It also has a fingerprint lock which I have found pretty convienent. I really liked how thin the screen was and how lightweight the laptop is overall. The display looked great and overall the laptop functions very well.I ordered this product back in July, and I have been very happy with it! I don’t experience lag, and it operates multiple apps well. I will say, the rose gold keyboard can be hard to see in darker lightings because the letters are silver. The brightness feature on the keyboard helps but if you are looking for something you can see I would suggest getting a different color. If you are looking for a laptop for office work, college work, or just general use and want something that is reliable, with great storage space, features, and a good battery life, this is the laptop for you. I highly recommend it!*Edit: The laptop charger box that came with this laptop unexpectedly stopped working a couple of months into usage. It is completely fried. Fortunately, I have another Type-C charger box that accommodates well, but it was dissapointing.
Great laptop, great price. This laptop works great and looks great too. It was easy to set up. A lot of other laptops cost more but have less internal memory. This Nimo works better than my Asus laptop. The Asus laptop only has a 500 gigabyte SSD and it cost me 200 hundred dollars more than the Nimo. The Asus lacks the back lighted keyboard. The Nimo is plenty fast for my work and personal use. I noticed that someone else complained of the Nimo overheating. My Nimo laptop runs cool. It's important to make sure not to block the exhaust vent of any laptop. I recommend the Nimo laptop 100 percent!
Delivered Early. Right out of the box, I plugged it in and the user-friendly download of Windows 11 began. It walked me through every step. I'm replacing a 4-year-old Asus VivoBook. The Asus also had a backlit keyboard, but it was pretty useless. This NIMO is a genuine functioning backlit keyboard, lit below a dark black keyboard. I ordered the rose gold color, and it's just beautiful, very understated. I usually have multiple tabs open, and I'm playing online poker at the same time I'm browsing the web. This new NIMO does this effortless. If you have OneDrive installed, it makes it very simple to transfer all your folders and files from one laptop to the new one. My one and only complaint is the sound from the speakers. It's 'tin' sounding. That doesn't matter to me because I really don't listen to music on my laptop. Again, I can't believe how easy everything was to install, including my antivirus. It's a wonderful laptop and I recommend it to anyone looking for a good value for a really great little laptop. I even love how the fingerprint sensor is off to the upper left corner of the touchpad. I also like the power cord connection on the left side of the machine since the power outlet I'm using is on my left. I had to string it around my legs to plug into the Asus which has the power connection on the right side. Buy this one, you will not be sorry.
Good laptop for the price. Good quality build. Decent speakers. Adequate amount of ports. Nice keyboard. Mouse is a little sensitive, but works fine. Works well for my simple needs, i.e., writing, web-surfing, remoting into work, Youtube, etc.My only complaint is that the company made it impossible to upgrade anything. My last laptop was a cheap Acer, which I was able to add value to by opening it up and inserting a 1 TB SATA drive and by doubling the RAM. Nimo will not let you do that for whatever reason. After corresponding with their IT dept they informed me that you cannot add memory or increase the RAM. I learned the latter face only AFTER I opened up the laptop. There is only one RAM slot, not two, but even if you bought a single stick of RAM with a higher value, the laptop wouldn't accept it. It was pretty frustrating to learn this, but it's a budget laptop, so I can't be too hard on them.I like the laptop regardless and would consider buying a more advanced Nimo model in the future, but I would definitely make sure the features can be modified or that everything was high-end (2 TB memory, 32 GB RAM) out of the box. Hoping the upgrading problem is confined to the student laptop only.
Awesome laptop. This is a nice laptop, it has a big screen, backlit keyboard, finger print access and 2 years of warranty + 90 days free returns. It arrived earlier than expected and so far so good. The speakers are louder than the last laptop I had. I dont think you can find a better deal, even with the big names.
Slick and good size screen. I needed a laptop to be able to work from home if the need be and this laptop has worked great. The specs and value compared to similar laptops are worth the price. It is easy to use and the laptop will walk you through set up from the moment you turn it on. I appreciate the thinnest and storage capacity this Nimo laptop offers. I am Happy with the purchase and appreciate the price.

Excellent value, nice ergonomics, does the job. This little beast boots quickly and has enough horsepower to get the job done. It's not for gamers but it's sleek with good ergonomics and a good video card - plenty good enough for most users. With a small eMMC boot drive (fused to the motherboard), and a 1T SSD, it has enough juice to start fast and lots of storage capacity. I'm a programmer so I scrubbed Windows and installed Xubuntu Linux. Super easy install and the machine is impressive. I'm running two webservers (Perl on Apache and Python Flask on Apache) both accessing a Postgres database and the machine is easily up to the task. F12 on boot gets you to the boot menu and F2 gets you to the BIOS. Straightforward laptop and a joy to use. Five stars!
My new laptop. Thin, lightweight, Lenovo laptop with nice matte screen and clear image.Good price and works well.Going to take a little time to get used to all of the buttons since it's different from my old Lenovo laptop.Came with a year of Microsoft 365 which is nice and also easily connected to my Epson printer. Which is great since there isn't a CD drive on this laptop so I was worried about that.Has a USB A and a USB C port and HDMI. All very important for what I need my laptop for.You can easily Google or YouTube how to disable S mode. It was really easy with the 2 minute video I found that walked me through it so I could download apps outside the Microsoft store like FireAlpaca.
Perfect laptop for College Students. This laptop has exceeded my expectations. Perfect slick, slim design. Easy to navigate and has a lot of storage space. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a great quality first-time laptop, perfect for students or business professionals.
Fast. Great laptop. Very fast.
Disappointed. I don’t like negative reviews or rants. I don’t write many reviews but most of the ones I do write are 5 stars. This is the exception. I am not a geek but I’ve built my own desktop, replaced: Motherboards, RAM, Hard Drives, Video cards, etc. etc. Windows 7 on my desktop will no longer accommodate Outlook.com emails so I had to buy a new computer (per Microsoft). I used to have a Lenovo laptop and loved it. When I saw this laptop on Amazon’s Deal of the Day; 20 GB RAM and 1 T of Storage I was excited!!! I didn’t want Windows in “S” mode as I wanted a certain web browser and Adobie PDF. I also wanted a larger Hard Drive. I read and re-read all of the information about this laptop 3 times to make sure that I got what I wanted and wasn’t surprised. Nowhere on the website did it say that this was Windows 11 Home “S”. Just Windows 11 Home. After much research I’ve learned that all Windows 11 Home are “S”. To not have the “S” you have to get Windows PRO. When I opened the box on top was a little piece of paper saying that it was an “S”. You can’t find any information from the laptop until everything is “installed”. The 1 T storage is on “the Cloud”. If the box is opened but the laptop is never taken out of the wrapper Amazon charges you 10% to send it back. When I found out that the 1T storage is the “Cloud” and not hard drive they would charge you 35-50% to send it back. I don’t know if this next is Lenovo’s fault or Windows or both. When you turn it on it takes 5-10 minutes to boot up; that is if it is not downloading an update which it seems to do at least twice a day then it takes 30 minutes to download and 15 minutes to install it. The processor on my desktop is 3.20 GHz and this is 1.1 GHz so this processor is much slower. The 20 GB RAM is Lightning Fast if it is not downloading or installing an update which is GREAT! It's just that a 1.1 GHz processor for this much RAM makes this a very Sluggish machine. This takes 3 times as long to print anything as it is only 1/3 the speed. Do yourself a favor and get a larger processor. The BATTERY says it is LONG LIFE but when it is 100% fully charged it says that it can only run 4 hours & 1 minute. Not long in my book. My final gripe is Outlook email which is probably a Microsoft Office issue. If you haven’t checked your Outlook.com email for several days it doesn't update when you open it, the last email is from the last time that you opened it. You cannot “refresh” the email. To get today’s email you have to restart the laptop and all too often it is updating so the laptop won’t turn off or turn on so you have to wait 30-45 minutes to check your new email. This laptop is no better than my 4 GB RAM Lenovo laptop from 20 years ago. Do yourself a favor and buy your laptop from a Big Box store instead of AMAZON. They are easier to return even if purchased online. The seller has a 30 day return policy, just a 35-50% penalty for the information that they don’t include on the website. You don’t know how much the penalty will be until you’ve returned it and they tell you. I will NEVER buy another Lenovo or any electronics from Amazon!
Great for the price. Daughter needed a new laptop for work and this fits the bill! Just right for performing most work-related projects, web research, email and some entertainment while traveling.
not fancy, but solid performer. My old Levono laptop is ancient. It dates back Windows 7. It was time to upgrade. I like the feel of Levono keyboards, and they to be trouble free for many years. The new one is very light, the keyboard is familiar, and the battery life is awesome. I find myself carrying this one around the house, on the outdoor deck, and in the basement. The old PC was heavy and had 1-2 hours battery life. Other laptops maybe better, but this one was rated highly and has exceeded my expectations. Levono seems to have made the start up process practically painless. When I the found my passwords were retained it was a true blessing and a big surprise.
Basic laptop for the money, that's all. This laptop replaced a real older one my wife had. I expected it to be faster but it was minimal. With Windows 11 and other newer attributes that uses up more of the processor it was extremely slow initially. It took a while to get it settled down with getting out of "S" mode, windows updates and shutting off built in things that made it crawl like the trial McAfee!. Would I buy it again? Likely not. My wife is a minimal gamer, Orange Crush, Solitaire etc and that's about it. Its good for basic stuff, email, browsing etc. The Celeron processor is slower than others available.

Works good for school. A little slow at times but is okay for basic college work. Annoying that it prevents you from downloading chrome but that's a windows issue. Sometimes the pin screen won't pop up and you need to click enter to enter your pin in.
Great Laptop. Looks brand new. Took a while to setup, but that's true will all new laptops. I only use for windows apps and it works perfectly and is fast for these applications. Easy to turn off S mode, which you will need to do if you use Chrome browser. Huge amounts of RAM and disk space.
Nicer Than Expected. So Hubby has needed a laptop for a good minute. We usually buy his refurbished bc he doesn't use a computer as much as I do. A #TB hard drive and top-shelf or even mid-level graphics card would be wasted on him, but he does need a laptop to access work files from home and general computer tomfoolery. So his last system was a refurb/open box Lenovo Ideapad, 4g RAM, and 1T hard drive. We got it from BestBuy Outlet a few years ago. It was so nice I told my sister about it and she got the same one.Fast forward to last December and the age was showing. I think the manufacture date is 2019, and it's showing the age. I was using it for work (WFH) bc he didn't need it. But then he DID need it so I had to go to a backup until he got me a desktop (see review). The BB Lenovo was slow, so very slow it was like Chinese water torture. Booting it up took time, yeah, 2-5 minutes depending on its mood. I'm not talking from shutdown. I mean from sleep/hibernation to lock screen to desktop. Painfully slow, so we needed to upgrade him. We couldn't shell out a lot of money for it, though, so I went shopping. This system has good storage for him. He doesn't take enough pix or do enough browsing to need more than 512G so the extra 128G is just gravy. The 12G RAM is a major step up and he's no longer grumbling about how slow his computer is.Yay.I'm a little jelly. This thing is sleek. At this price, we could afford to grab another. I just got a gamer desktop, though (see review!) so it's not practical.Pros: See abovePlus: That card slot is a good thing since it doesn't have a CD/DVD tray at all (see pic). The camera cover/lock is NICE (see pic). I always tape a little paper over webcams but there's no need with this. One of the USB ports is a USB-C (see pic), which is nice since things seem to be moving that way.I thought I was settling for the 15.6" screen but it's not as small as I thought it would be. My desktop system monitors are 22 and 24 inches respectively and my last laptop was 17", so 15" feels small to me until I actually see it.As stated: Hubby doesn't care. This laptop is the same size as his old one and even the same manufacturer, so yeah. He's good.Cons:No disc tray. Anything he needs to physically add has to be on an SD card, thumb drive, or downloaded. Please note: Hubby doesn't care. For my geeky/gamer heart, it's not nearly enough HD space, but for Hubby it's perfect. The preinstalled bloatware insists on being used even when you uninstall it, but isn't it always?Minimal ports. I need way more USB ports and no ethernet is a deal breaker for me.Caveat: This laptop isn't for me, since I have a gaming/work desktop system. Hubby doesn't care about this at all, so it's just a "that would be nice" thing.Anyway, I like this machine a lot. It's light and clean and a fantastic value for the price. I think it will serve Hubby well.9/10 would recommend.
Great Laptop. My wife was in need of replacing her laptop which she uses to do so much of our planning and research for future travels. It's working great and she seems to like it - therefore I like it. Thanks.
Buyer Beware. Purchased this as a Christmas gift. Computer did not perform as expected and was extremely slow and/or would freeze. Had issues installing Microsoft apps— install would stall and not complete. When apps ran they would lag.Tried to join a teams call for my child… opened teams an hour before the call to make sure everything would would load and it seemed fine. Fifteen minutes before the call, opened teams to enter the call details. Camera was not loading and preventing me from joining the call as the teams app froze during the process. Finally, just as the call was supposed to start, I was able to get into the call. However, despite making sure I was not on mute and camera was toggled on ( I have been using teams for business calls on a daily basis for the past 3 years, so I’m super familiar with it). Person on the line could not see our hear us. I couldn’t even close the app to try and reconnect. I ended up having to use my cellphone, which connected quickly with no issue. About 30 min after I initially started logging on for the call, I finally had to close the app through the task manager.A brand new computer with these specs should not struggle like this. My 5 year old laptop should not perform better than this laptop. I ended up returning the computer. Paid $350 for the computer and had to pay $65 restocking fee, which is ridiculous for something that was defective out of the box.I will never buy an item like this off Amazon. Ended up buying a similar laptop through Costco knowing they stand by the products they sell and will refund or replace and item at no charge if it is within the return window if it is defective.
Excellent Value from a Brand that I have purchased for over 10 Years. My wife has a habit of going through laptops rapidly, because she tends not to want to spend a lot on them. I use Lenovo computers for work and home and have not found a brand that I prefer more.I bought this laptop for my wife because her then laptop was disconnecting from the Internet and was slow. It arrived quickly and was very well packaged. Set up was surprisingly easy and quick and the laptop itself is very attractive.Compared to my wife's old laptop, this new machine is fantastic, no disconnections from the Internet, it very quick and has an excellent display.I still find it hard to believe that I got such tremendous value for money with my purchase, it even got me in my wife's good books for a day!!!I am happy to recommend this product, it exceeded my expectations, was at a remarkably low price point, and my wife is delighted with her new laptop.
product is as described and works fine. I've been using it a couple months now and everything's good. I chose Lenovo brand because I'd already bought an upper tier Lenovo a couple years earlier and that one has been super. This time I'm getting a lower cost model because I thought it would be fine as a "TV companion" meaning I have it on a TV stand in my bedroom to do occasional tasks or even watch some things on the TV via HDMI. It seems to get bogged down a bit with lots of Chrome windows open or running youtubeTV. So maybe I needed a stronger device. Either way I don't think I should knock my rating of it for my own choice because under 340 for a top brand laptop has been a good deal.
