Microsoft has rolled out a technical preview of the Windows 10 for testing, to participants of the Windows Insider Program. The program offers an opportunity for Windows enthusiasts to be a part of team looking to create the best windows yet.
Windows Insider Program
Participants of the program will get an easy-to-use app for submitting their valuable feedback directly to Microsoft from Windows Technical preview and gain access to pre-release versions of the OS. If liked, the suggestions could feature in the new version.
Since this is an early release, Microsoft does not recommend that everyone download it; only technically able persons should download and install it and help them shape the development of the operating system. The program requires you to sign up first with a Microsoft Account. Only those who sign up for this program are eligible to download and use the Next Generation Windows.
It is also recommended that you do not install the technical preview on your primary work machine.
Images and videos have been leaking for quite some time now, confirming the return of Start menu with a more personal touch, more organized, and more fun than before. The full-sized Start screen too has found support along with the Notification Center and a flatter user interface. It should be noted that the preview version is just an early release and an unfinished version, not suitable for regular use. So, one can expect a lot of changes and bug fixes in later versions. How effectively Microsoft will handle the feedback remains to be seen.
